I think alignment is a key for knowing which values are important. If we feel in alignment with the core of who we are, then we will be living according to our values. Our emotions tell us whether we are in alignment with that core or not. By using this guidance system we can live from this space and be in alignment with who we really are. when you truly accept something then that becomes your value and you align with its vibration but not everyone can do that . instead shes saying find your true frequency and align with it . thats attainable by most people .
Something i learned the hard way. Contrast is here for reason. Do what makes you happiest to the best of your ability every moment you can. If you have several at any point of time, pick the one thats most exciting.
You said it! I’m not living up to my value. I am an accountant but always been creative. 😩 I miss me sooo much. The mother convinced me money was more important than anything else in life and here we I am. Changes, changes I’m going after them! 🙏
My mother is a CPA and my step dad is one also... they wanted me to go into business but i wanted to go into graphic design. I chose design, and I can honestly say it was a great decision, and my mother still wonders how I can make money in an industry that she doesn't understand. Now after being a creative for 13 years, I'm getting curious about starting my own business. And if I do... I'll ironically be looking at studying business. But this time it's on my terms! Interesting how life works out. I know you commented 5 years ago... let me ask you, have you made those changes yet? ;)

It seemed to be the same for Teal with her suicide attempt, and it was like that to me to a big degree with my suicide attempt. I became more aware of what's important in life. For some reason though, I had to go through stuff and have my core values change, or find my real values, before arriving here where I act upon what I perceive those values to be.
We all need to figure what we really want from life. Life keeps throwing us better and better opportunities to learn that until we do.
My core value is freedom.

Got to the same conclusion as of late. Tired of people telling me what to do in jobs, school. I wanna get to a point where the least amount of people can force/tell me what to do.

Freedom for me; not being forced to do things. Being allowed to do the things I want
If you look at society - especially listening to all those songs/music after you have woken up, you realise how much we are subconsciously 'trained' to 'rely' on something outside of ourselves for our own happiness - which is of course ego - alignment is key and is eternal as we are only ever 'keeping up' with our inner/higher being. Acceptance of this as a neverending unfolding and being happy in the processing of this is bliss.

She took the words right out of my mouth --- CONNECTION is one of my biggest values. For years I've been yearning to find a man who won't choose another woman over me and be fully present in our relationship. For years I've bent backwards trying to find what I'm looking for in a partner. I've always prioritized finding the right guy and falling in love over everything! EVEN MONEY! My in town psychic thinks my desire of love is a desire of love and acceptance from the self, but I have to work on self discovery and self creation before any of that love stuff. However, I believe I KNOW WHO I AM. But spirituality keeps telling me I'm not who I believe I am!

Brilliant! Thank you Teal! I been rather feeling low since quite a while. It’s not that I been living against my core values, but thinking they are not acceptable, but selfish to the world. Listening to many talks of yours this week, I realize it’s an old parental childhood program running within me, judging my inner values, as bad, lazy, unproductive, selfish, wasteful. But listening to your words, I realize, this inner programming going against my values, is all that stands against my joy and happiness! Healing my childhood wounds and personal growth is my first priority and I trust once I reach the standard and time, the universe sees me ready, I like to give my experience back in whatever form that may take.

Thank you so much for this. I was once someone committed to an exciting and creative career. I gave it all up to look after my autistic son. Still doing it 27 years on... I have felt all along that I was being confined to a very small cage and imprisoned in a narrow life I didn't even begin to recognise. The guilt at even resenting such a life, instead of embracing it joyfully and selflessly, has been immense. I have turned to and explored various spiritual paths to make the unacceptable more palatable. However, anesthesia is not a cure. So now, I know. I haven't lived according to my values and passions and I have paid a heavy price physically and emotionally for it. It wasn't and still isn't a case of abandoning my son, but I now see that there are options available to me to regain freedom and authenticity. Thank you for a thought-provoking, no BS message 🙏

Thank you for this Teal!! My BF & I are trying to live our lives according to our values, but sometimes we feel forced to sacrifice our values NOW, so we can live that way in the FUTURE. We are looking for simplicity & freedom, but feel like society is shoving the life we don't want onto our laps to keep us from achieving our dreams. I work many little jobs, but i love every one. I have few people in my life, but the ones that are here with me share my values & enhance my life experience. Over the years I have only moved forward, & grown tremendously, along with let go of an immense amount. Am I being impatient? or Am i doing something wrong. I'm trying to teach my BF to appreciate where you are & what you have now, so the universe can give you more of what you want in the future, is that correct? Is there something to do here, or just keep on doing what i'm doing?
