Aaron should have lots of scars from cutting himself so unlike other soaps Emmerdale understand that each time Aaron lifts up his shirt they have to be precise where his scars were before otherwise keen eyed viewers will spot this. We have never seen Robert shirtless either since he has been shot for the same reason.
I know it's a soap, but i love the relationship and the intensity between Aaron and Robert. But will Aaron ever live his "Happy ever after" with Rebecca on the scene LOL?? I long for Aaron's wedding day, im sure it will come, with the drama..that is..... Emmerdale Farm!! LOL
Not an avid Emmerdale fan but think it good too that in this story line they'd didn't look to 'blame' Aaron's being gay on a consequence of having been sexually abused as a child. That it's then a 'choice' as some christians would try and have others believe.

I work in a hospital in England, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Aaron is in a private room, he is not on the ward and is about to have his wounds dressed. It is not unusual for a doctor to see a patient first and a nurse to come in and dress the wounds later.
