As a man I think your advice is bad. Women often go up to me and give me complements on my body. To me that makes it look like she is looking for a hookup and not a relationship. So I find those women creepy and avoid them. Also confidence is irrelevant. Actually on second thought a lack of confidence is a sign of high interest. After all a woman would only be nervous if the guy seems like a catch. If the guy seemed like a loser there would be no reason to be nervous.
