My favorite is when you buy stuff off of reverb and they claim “smoke-free studio”. Then you get the gear and it smells like an ashtray. It happened to me 3 times

Absolutley. I love when they put "never toured" on gear too. Personally, I prefer to know gear was owned and used by professionals and not riding around in someone's car going to bar gigs or being abused by someone's kids when they weren't home.

I have a Crest XR20 version of the 19" rackmount analog mixer format that I used for FOH and recording duties for a small local jazz and world music venue. Modded the channels for prefader/preEQ DO to a multitrack USB interface. Mixed and recorded many great shows with that rig. Similar case too ;)

I've had the chance to work on those a few times and always loved them. That's a handy mod, is that the rig you've had at the mansion over the years? Hope you're doing great there in the big city.

@@DcSoundOp Thanks hope you're well too. Yep that's the one. Gifted it to a local church basement community venue. DC punk lives. Hope to see you in 24 or 25.

I do like the Allen and Heath rig, but $2k is too much post x32 world. I wouldn't mind paying $1200-1400, only because the market has moved on. It is clean AF

Yeah, I hear that for sure. I thought it was a fair starting point. I think they were using rough numbers from eBay listings. If you do that, you're looking at $800 worth of wireless gear, another five hundred if you add up the furman, the ACP-88, and the snake. The Mix Wizards go for $500 used, so that gets you to $1800 without figuring in the case. I think they'd do better to break it all up and sell it piece by piece instead of like this.
