@@aeonrose7044 I love them both.
I do not like either of them!..

I do like them both!..
I wish you included that Venus informed them of her withdrawal that morning but the tournament didn't approve the withdrawal until 4 minutes before the match. Venus didn't just wait until the match was to start and pullout. The organizers at that time did that because they were trying to urge Venus to play injured because the tickets were already sold.
She has to do that, per the rules of the WTA......truth be told, most tennis players struggle with minor injuries for most of the year. I despised how they played this out, and made it look orchestrated. I am thankful these women rose above, and have had such amazing careers.
I am so happy that you ladies have talent to rely on. Because, I wonder !
Venus actually told them the day before she didn’t think she would be able to play. They held out because the wouldn’t be able to sell tickets if they had announced it earlier. You’re right they waited until minutes before they were set to play to announce it. They had everyone believing that the dad pill Venus out at the last minute. To add injury to insult when everyone was attacking Serena and her family the tournament sponsernd and director fail to step in and defend them. That’s why they boycotted Indian Wells so long.
Cool to see that Serena and Venus stand up for their beliefs and started to boycott
Boycott works. They showed Indian Wells that Indian Wells needs them and not the other way around.
Yall have to stop repeating that Venus pulled out 4 minutes before. The tournament waited until thatHe to announce it. They were holding out that Vee would change her mind!

We live in Rancho Mirage and know people who were there for this event. Some people in the crowds behavior, (unfortunately quite a few according to our friends) was appauling. When they returned we made sure to cheer and let them know that the Coachella Valley has changed for the better!!
I've always thought both sisters were great. Venus seemed to be the better player at first, but Serena eventually passed her in my opinion. It's a shame they were booed. They had every right to boycott.
Those who feel it was controversial. You try a day walking in their shoes. They took a stsnd rightly so. And she recieved an apology from that soeaker. The fact she got a standing ovation. This was the turning point of how people perceived her and Venus. The standing ovation spoke volumes and The American crowd atoned for their bigotry Sins.
They're the most talented women in tennis, glad they did this to help out the women in tennis.
What they don't mentioned is that the organisers wanted to fine the both of them for not playing in the tournament instead of doing something about it. They know where the racial slurs were coming from , the could have ban the people in question but choose to do nothing.
If BLM had been around those days, the entire complex would have been burned to the ground.
Both of the Williams sisters are so talented! I love watching them play.
What few fail to realize that line judges and umpires were adamant at Serena losing -
Consistently and overtly and egregiously calling the ball out when it was clearly in - Thus -
The genius invention of the Hawk - Eye - Serena and Venus were solely responsible for this invention -

If those refrees was honest serena would have at least 25 major
Inspiring to see athletes stand up for what they believe in and use their platform to bring attention to important issues. The Williams sisters have truly been trailblazers in the tennis world, and their success and impact go far beyond the court.

no crowd has a right to have treated the young sisters like that, no matter the situation..Justin Henin retired when she was losing to Mauresmo, even though she didnt' look like it, people bought her story of tummy ache...for the officials not to intervene nor address the rowdy crowd was inexcusable, the Williams sisters shouldn't even have come back..Indian Wells wanted White winners, they got it, with lesser credibility of course without the sisters In the draw.
It had nothing to do with any of that. The crowd didn’t like the Williams sisters or their father because they were a-holes.
I don't think Venus would just fake an injury and withdraw.
Very interesting. I always wondered why the Williams sisters skipped that venue. Now I know! They are such great players and both have changed the sport forever.
This video gives viewers a better understanding of the controversy surrounding the Williams sisters' boycott. This is a thought-provoking and informative piece that contributes to the ongoing discussions on racial and gender equality in sports.
They don't have to discuss anything, their actions speak louder than words.
That’s exactly what we need less of. The more you talk about such matters, the more people fixate on it and make things worse. Sports are f*cking sports. Not everything has to be about race and gender.
@@Ricky-mo6mv sorry to break your privileged little bubble but race and gender will never not be relevant to the society as long as racism and sexism of any sort continues to exist.
Actually, the narrative is clear but the videos is a mess, taken from several tournaments that has nothing to do in the story.. The narrator is talking about Indian wells match incident, but what you see in the video is US Open, Olympics, Wimbledon etc.
Serena & Venus are terrific tennis players, glad to find out what really happened and why the boycott actually happened.
I really wasn't aware of this event. These sisters really are five star athletes, I really love seeing the determination in their eyes when they play.
it was terrible. I was a big tennis fan back then and it was really terrible for tennis b/c Indian Wells was known as the "5th slam" and they didnt play it for sooo many years. Venus was always dealing with tendonitis in one knee because she's tall and powerfull. You can see the Serena/Clijsters match.
The narrative is exaggerated not everyone in that crowd was against Serena. Go find the match and watch. Albeit the ones who did boo and geer displayed terrible behavior for a tennis tournament
@@eizyaws that's BS. the crowd was very much Pro-Clijsters and not on Serena's side much at all. There's even a point in the match when Serena wins the second set, barely anyone cheered and she was booed. not sure why you think it's an exaggeration when it was written about many times over in the news articles which still exist.
@@alexpiper1115 okay. God bless you have a wonderful day
@@alexpiper1115 That’s literally what exaggeration is.
These ladies are quite skilled at their sport. This video really explains to me why the boycott actually happened.
It wasn’t really anything that was ever kept swept under the rug..
They are undoubtedly talented siblings. No need for hostility from the crowd.
Wow, interesting and great to know! Both Serena and Venus are spectacular, truly two of the best women tennis players. People can be so hateful, these two women are inspirations and always will be, good for them!
Quite fascinating. The Williams sisters never went there, which has always baffled me. I'm aware now! They are both such outstanding athletes, and they both revolutionized the game.
the tourny was better without serena
@@1967MLP Lol. Bitter so much you want to change history. No one is better than these two who will remain forever part of history. They made their mark. Who's gonna know Sharapova in 20 years? No one.
serena and venus are both great players and there is no doubt about their talent
That's correct, appreciate your feedback.
Never knew The Williams boycotted Indian Wells, the best players in the world right now!
I usually don't agree with political statements in sports, but when it's directly at you from the fans I say good for them standing up and doing this.
Adults should behave better. I expect this heckling from soccer fans who come from all types of backgrounds but when you have people buying expensive tickets to see these world class athletes, you can afford a proper attitude
I salute u ladies for standing up for ur right s
I am amazed at the way tennis players play. I can barely hold a racket myself. my respect
Rivalries in sport are a common thing and besides in competitive sports there has to be always one. I think both are really good tennis players the only thing is that each one of them they have their own original play styles.
In this video, we see the truth about why Serena and Venus Williams boycotted Indian Wells.
Amazing information this video is a Must-Share
Yeah that crowd was disgusting how they treated the Williams family
Venus and Serena Williams are great tennis player. Thanks for uncovering the truth.
I've loved watching the Williams' sisters play. They are the most electric players ever.
verigood video excellent brother
Very nice video, thanks for sharing the interesting information.
serena is one of my favorite tennis players. I really enjoy watching it. Thank you for making a video that will reveal these truths. it was a very informative video
These two have a high level of skill that can be achieved only from lots of practice, unless they are honestly just that good, but those people are few and far between.
Notably, the tournament officials formally apologized to Serena after her win, along with a standing ovation. G.O.A.T.
Nice video about Venus and Serena Williams one of the best players !
God bless the true fans of Indian Wells, I did not think that Cali had any sensible people
great content as always!
Thank you for making this informative video on Serena and Venus.❤❤❤
I've always supported the Williams sisters!
That's because they put their best foot forward. They play to win.
Great players!! Very inspirational story!
nice video keep up
Always loved both Williams when it came to the tennis grounds. This video touched upon a very interesting story though. Good Video.
You can check it out for yourself if you have doubts. I watched it recently on CZcams and am still amazed how Serena managed to get through it. It was not just the crowd, some of the lines people made some egrigeous calls too.. But loved the way Serena celebrated her win with all the boos and nasty remarks that was being shouted.
Excellent player thank you for sharing
Entertaining video 🙏🎾
Nice dynamic of the video 💪
Another question marks on these two tennis players performances... especially Serena' s....
Serena and Venus are amazing players they are so talented!
The match in question is actually on CZcams. Also, this win was NOT Serena’s second WTA title.
You're right!
Serena title win in the aforementioned video was her 2nd Indian Wells title in 2001 and actually her 8th career WTA title at the time.
However, her first Indian Wells title in 1999 came at the expense of Steffi Graf, and was actually her 2nd career WTA title.
The narrator of the video above may have confused Serena's first Indian Wells title in 1999 with her 2001 triumph.
I love those two girls...they make me proud...please don't twist the truth.
Such talented women! You do what is best for you ladies!! 💪🏽
The Williams sisters were the best!
Miami was always known as the fifth gran slam
Interesting video.
Great job on the court! Your skill and athleticism are impressive. Keep serving those aces and hitting those winners. Your dedication and hard work are evident in your play. Keep pushing yourself to achieve new heights and never give up. I'm looking forward to watching more of your matches. Keep swinging and chasing your dreams!
I'll never forget watching this. Racism on front display. Serena played through the adversity and came out on top. I was so happy for her. I'm glad they boycotted. They didn't deserve the hate.
Serena and Venus are impressive players.
Serena and Venus are co-GOATs
I love Venus but no way is she in any GOAT conversation
Both are good players
Thanks dude! I was looking for this information about Serena & Venus' Indian Wells Boycott: Uncovering the Truth so i am going to share it with all my friends.
All you had to do before this video was a Google search. Just sayin :)
They still didn’t tell you everything. Venus had informed them of her injury the day before and they wanted to wait to tell everyone so they could sell tickets. The tournament directors waited until the last minute to announce Venus had pulled out even when they knew early that morning there was no way she could play. So the fans instead had to watch a doubles match. They had the fans believing Richard had pulled Venus out, plus they listened to that liar Dementieva say Richard decides who is going to win.
@@lindasolomon1688 if you show up for a singles match, you certainly can’t substitute that with a doubles match. Nope! How do we know Dementieva was lying? Maybe she was just simply offering her own opinion on the matter regardless.
@@lindasolomon1688 How do you know Dementieva was lying? Maybe it was just her hunch, but maybe she knew something we didn’t know. She certainly wasn’t the only one to say as much.
That 2001 was some of the most hilarious behavior I have ever seen toward any Tennis player.
All of them are legend
Sounds like they were booing because they really wanted semi final match between the sisters and it didnt happen, not because if racism...🤨
Serena is my fav for sure !
The Williams sisters are a legend
And they are still doing it.
Greatest female players of all time 👌
Love Venus love Serena more, these to have been through so much in their lives and careers, and they always come out on top. I learned some new things here, there's always so much going on in sports to much to keep track of it all, its so nice to watch videos like these that provide us information on the happening in the sport worlds.
They put these knew kiddos to shame. They span a 20 year career and some of the new kids quit in under 5 years?
The videos are taken from different tournaments, but the topics is all about the match in Indian Wells. Haha This is good only for listening not for viewing, because what you can see in video is so different from what he is talking about.
These sisters are incredible! Serena Williams is my favorite and she is an incredibly disciplined and inspirational tennis player. She's been trained by the top coaches in the world to GROW as a person such as Tony Robbins. This helps her unleash her true power, the power that's been cultivated by her tennis coaches! What an inspirational story!
She’s also incredibly self centered, self entitled, and very disrespectful of other players. She was a great tennis player, but a horrible example of sportsmanship.
@@Ricky-mo6mv
...in YOUR opinion.
@@magnetmac1 Actually many comment about it quite frequently and have for many years. The black community just likes her by default because she is black. They don’t care how she acts, which of course doesn’t come as any surprise.
🙏♥️
Serena Williams is the best the has ever seen
People are saying that it's a lie she is still there she is not dead, how truth is it, please please iwant to know.
Elvis Presley's daughter is indeed dead.

Well Kim was infinitely more likable regardless
@@Ricky-mo6mv
Tell me why a young upcoming drama-free Serena wasn't "likable".
@@magnetmac1 The way she carried herself in a smug manner, her lack of respect for her peers and veterans, and just her overall attitude in general. Don’t get me wrong, I grew to like her enough to be able to tolerate her, even when she did reveal more of her true character as her career progressed. I enjoyed watching her matches over the years, but at the end of the day she was definitely a psychopath.
@@Ricky-mo6mv
Serena Williams was 19 yrs old when she was needlessly jeered at the 2001 Indian Wells. She was young, drama-free, no problem with her fellow tennis athletes. At the time she was nothing like you negatively described her.
So, I ask again - why do you think a young teenage Serena wasn't likeable at a time when there was no controversy around her?
Boa tarde congrats serena Williams irmãs venus Williams tênis 2023 campeão 🏆☝️🤳💯🚗 amén trabalho casar homens e filhos e filha bom 💪🏾👍🏾😙😚😘
What!!! , They were right to stop playing where people behaved racist and uncivilized. In rhis day ang age, after all black people have done for this nation free of charge. The rscists should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!
I hope Coco wont have 2 go thru eh...shhz so yun.
@tennisextra1 can you please get the facts straight .. Serena played Lindsay Davenport and won 6-1 / 6-2
Venus & Serena Williams are both men how's about that fella!!!
I don't think Venus's withdrawal was a coincidence, not saying their dad is to blame. Maybe they didn't want to go against each other due to concerns that it would cause tension in their relationship, since they both are very competitive tennis players. I respect them boycotting the Indian Wells because who wants to face racism? Especially in a line of work, they should be able to play comfortably without receiving hate from a crowd that they spend hours and hours entertaining.
And their very own country men - Same thing happened in the war *
So glad their father stood up for them. The WTA & ATP didn't.
How many times have they played each other
That is far from the truth what you just said. Venus informed them the day before about her knee and they said wait until tomorrow to see how it’s doing. Early that morning she told them she wasn’t going to be able to play and they still waited until minutes before the tournament to announce she pulled out. The fans were upset at spending money to watch them and had to watch a doubles tournament. Instead of the tournament directors trying to defend them they allowed them to be called names, racial slurs and booed at. it was awful and that’s why they boycotted.
I gave an opinion based on the video. You should’ve posted your own comment like everyone else, instead of looking for someone to have a debate with😂.
Caucasoid envy
Do people really still think the 2 sisters are woman.Theres no way .Men playing womens tennis all these years.
And your stupidity is highlighted by not only one pregnancy by Serena but two. Boy,you Crackkkas say some of the most illogical things out of racism.
Money, money, money. They were running short on cash, that's why they returned.
00:07 wozzad? African Lady-Boys?
