- This horrible crash of Rémi Thirion happens during the qualifying runs on 10th of june 2017 @ UCI MTB Worldcup Men Elite Downhill Leogang, Austria. I´m still shocked about it. I send you all my best wishes for a fast recovery to hospital Salzburg. Health is everything,
especially for a professionel sportsman like you Rémi.

Healing vibes Remi .....that will be bad, had a similar on a smaller scale, airlifted with 10 days in intensive care with multiple trauma. I was a mess. I hope he had some body armour on though.
Marcus Mattocks I'm pretty sure the Austrian rules state that you have to have chest and back armour. They were saying it may have saved him from worse injuries

when tracks get faster consistences get much bigger...
I'm all for progression of the sport, ride your 29er, but on steep slow speed technical tracks. Far better to watch and ride. A true test of a riders technical riding ability.
