- Here's my short presentation lunch talk at the 2004 AOPA Convention in Palm Springs. Nothing serious. It's just me talking about the fun, strange, and unusual things that happen to you as a flight instructor.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, Thank you for flying with us today. Captain Machado will be reviewing the safety features of this aircraft for you this morning. To stay on schedule, fight attendant Wingit, will cover our takeoff and climb out.”

Gosh the genocide joke at the beginning hasn't aged well - the rest is absolutely golden!
It's not a genocide joke. The Taliban is a political organization. Saying there will be no Taliban in the future is analogous to saying there will be no Republicans, or no Freemasons. Name any example you like. They're not a race of people.
What made the joke age poorly is that, not only was Bin Laden NOT a member, as we know the Taliban ended up returning to power in Afghanistan like nothing happened.
