- Here's a short video excerpt from my 40-hour Private Pilot eCourse on Dihedral. This is a topic that's often hard to grasp from a textbook. Seeing the principles in action on a video screen makes it easier to comprehend the subject. If you'd like to learn more about my eCourses, books, and audiobooks, please visit: www.rodmachado.com.
As usual, Rod's clear, simple, uncomplicated explanations. Do make more of these short 5-minute gems. Thanks, Rod.
I'm so glad to see that Rod is still making content!
At least you kno how to cover subjects without putting all to sleep! Very important skill set! Thx
One of the best and knowledgeable aviation educators. Thanks for the visual explanation, and is there really a group of people think dihedral helps coordinate turn? Never heard of that
Nice video Rod, and I must say... fabulous neckwear!
Thank you and i wish you all the best .
As ever..Rod the best !!! Thanks again..
Thanks Rod!
yes!!! the real Rod is on video instead of his digital twin 😊
Outstanding sir. Thank you!
Another benefit of dihedral is that it inclines the bottom surface of the wing fuel tanks, for more effective sumping of fuel contaminants and water (while parked on level ground). This is probably why high-wing designs bother to include a small degree of dihedral.
It’s FS2000 all over again!
Now, explain negative dihedral (eg, C141).
Is there a course or book of yours you recommend for a training CFI?
