Take 3 to get less volatile results. Plus they will for sure be impressive enough to make your opponent be hesitant to move their centerpiece in front of the tanks. Marking dominance before the game starts..
But you can toss so many coins for so few points!!

@Mordian Glory 10:10 That is what I call character development good sir! Finally trying out some vanquishers, but then I was sad to hear you start harping on them early on. You did that scout Vanquisher dirty just because it failed its first two big shots, it went in and wiped like 100pts worth of terminators in the first round, not to mention tank most of his army. Simon says it later on but a distraction carnifex is a good use for them while they dish out some high burst damage. So glad at 2:12:28 hearing you come around to the vanqs. The meme tanks of this list definitely pulled the rest down. I think an honest comp if you wanted to utilize vanquishers would be something like:
Lord Solar Command Blob; Tank Commander Grand Strategist (Demo); Vanquisher w/ Plasma; Vanquisher w/ Plasma; Eradicator Nova; Exterminator Auto Cannon.
Ursula Creed and 10 Infantry; 3 X 1 Scout Sentinels (3 separate)
All 5 Lemon Russ get orders, Fields of Fire Factory (FoFF), Daring Recon: 1365 Army Core.
At that point do whatever mix Infantry blobs, armored fists, shoot if you go heavy into Rough Riders it'd be a Tallarn list. etc.
If you don't neglect scout sentinels you can get around rolling 1's on vanq cannon. Stack Fields of Fire with Withering Hail and you can get Vanquisher shots just cutting right thru any tank/monster without an invulnerable save AP -6.
Great vid I just wanted to ad my two cents. Glad to see more of the open minded Mordian I fell in love with, and got me into warhammer, at the end of 9th.

Great to see Yarrick back on the table, he's absolutely my favourite character in 40k - just a grumpy old bugger who's too stubborn to give up! Logically I can only interpret that this is Mordian Glory confirming a Guard 10th Ed. Codex leak with ol' bale eye returning to us! Praise the Emperor.

excited to see some regular infantry squads on the table. I run 60 Infantry, 20 Krieg, and 40 mechanized catachans, and feel each has their own place in my force.
Please try out supposed sub optimal units against top meta armies. Should be interesting to see how the vanquished for example fares in a tournament.
A cute trick with vanguard is to do with vanguard is to take a Phobos LT and scout/infiltrate into the middle objective. Once you roll off for first turn you can just stay on the middle and use the sticky objective Strat first turn. In theory it lets you get a 15 for one or two turns
Also, combi lt AND phobos lt with ghostweave cloak, use the strat to bring them out to reserves and walk them both into opponents back line turn 3. Worked out really well for fixed secondaries behind enemy lines and engage on all fronts

I just barely beat a raven guard list recently. 67-65. The minus 1 to hit is brutal to play guard into.
Took 2 vanquishers, 2 battle tanks, 1 exterminator and 1 shadowsword armour wise yesterday in a 2600 game against knights.
Vanquishers suprised me… between them and the shadowsword it was lethal and upsetting my opponent who I tabled turn 3…
Vanquishers are def worth investing in… fancy taking 3 my next game!
I have that exact same Malcador 3D print.
I mean the files are everywhere so you probably see them a lot with guard players that have printers

Just want to point out that Take Aim is +1 to Ballistic Skill, rather than to Hit Rolls. That means it *can* stack, because there is no limit on BS or WS characteristics.
There is actually a limit, it can't get better than 2+. Leadership is capped at 5+ as well but also not worse than 8+
Just checked one thing, Inquisitor Greyfax actually has a leadership of 4+ which is impossible to get. Also, it can't be modified to 5+ since that is too good 😂

No, I built 4. just a coincidence, though.
I cut out the pins on the barrels and replaced them with magnets so that I can swap out the barrels depending on what I am tryna run (also magnets inside the turret barrel connection for the actual holding power). I definitely pushed painting the vanquisher cannons up the waitlist though.

Sadly it's now just one Hellhound datasheet with 3 options for the main weapon. There is no separate datasheet for the Devildog or Banewolf so the most you can take now is 3 hellhounds regardless of load out 😢
