Wow. Just a few more of these on-line "classes" and I'll finally earn my Advanced Skylines City Planning degree from FEW U. 🎓
Haha!! YES! Thank you Edward, glad you are enjoying them 😄
Very functional. It looks like everything can be pedestrian only except the few places where vehicles actually make sense and are necessary.
The way I went YASS!!!! when you put in the cargo train station 🤣
Didn't we all? 🤣🤣
Great video...
I imagine the cargo center being connected to industries with subway trains.
next step, deconnected cargo centers (like with split university areas) teleporting cargo to the other side of the map.
next step, a single cargo center with rail and ship access that teleports to multiple walkable industry pedareas.
I can't wait to see these videos (unfortunately not doing content myself here, also possibly with cpp or biffa or overcharged egg).
This provides so many options! I‘m envisioning a hipster type district that combines factories and the oil industry buildings with pedestrian areas and the green cities shops that look like containers. If that area was around a harbor, even better. Maybe with some added glass office buildings…
Ooo yes that would be lovely!
Super cute video and excellent information! Very excited to see what else you come up with for this new DLC, because I've never seen such a cute industrial area before! Thanks, Few C, great work as always! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Thanks FewCandy. Nice idea instead everyone creating large industrial areas you can use this method to create a true industrial plant vibe, without having to hemorrhage the rest of the cities road infrastructure with truck traffic. Pedestrianisation+Industry+Storage+Factory+Export*Expert Detailer.
Might try this same logic to deal with the stupid volume of industries traffic (especially from farms) in vanilla. Heavy Goods traffic ban on the way in and out, and force everything through the rails.... As long as workers can get in and out it should work well. Nice video!
Yes that’s a great idea! And thank you 😄
Many moons ago, whilst on my gap year, I met a wise blind man at a crossroads. Three paths lay before us; North, South and South-southwest. I asked the wise blind man for guidance on my journey. "Can you help me on my journey, wise blind man?". He pondered my dilemma for an hour, whereupon I realized he was not only blind but also profoundly deaf. Nothing is at it seems.
Ive been waiting for your first vid with the new P&P! I'm not going to attempt to load my save yet, until all the mads have been updated. There are a few new great mods in Beta. No CS for me for a week lol. Thanks for saying hi in Eggs' live stream as well :)
Thank you for saying hi too! 😄 Most mods have fixes already, just take your time going through the workshop and you'll probably be ok!
@@fewcandy I use over 80 mods, gonna be a nightmare lol
@@Incogneto1981 😱
This answers the question I had on Egg’s latest video! Thanks Few
You're welcome Ben! 😄
A very nicely done demo on how to integrate these two "worlds." I haven't had a chance to delve into an actual build with this new DLC but I was curious about exactly what you covered! Thanks!
I think @Edward Bickford came up with a good moniker for a playlist of shorter video tutorials...FEW U. P.S. Nice music choices, too!!!
Thanks Jim! Yes the FEW U idea is definitely something we can explore!
Nice!
Mind Blown
Got to move that 20 ft container to the service building! Hold the other side!
Haha! Love it!
So a road to road crossroads, over the pedestrian street means that vehicles can drive through? Would a cheeky bridge/flyover also work, going over the pedestrian area and into a car friendly area?
It will yes!
You can't help yourself, can you? "This is going to be a very rough forestry area". Proceeds to put together a very functional and very cute forestry area. I love that you can't do a rough build, it's just not possible for you. 🤣😂
😂😊 I can't help myself no...!! There's a lot of areas in the city build I used for these videos I really cringe at!
Very cool little set up there. How's the mod situation? I tried to load the game yesterday evening but was met with multiple 'broken' messages, so I might leave it alone for a few days.
Thank you! Most mods have replacements or fixes already, there's only a few of the big ones that remain broken, but the replacements can be a bit confusing as some mods are now combined into one so I;d recommend just going through the workshop very slowly! And lots of good advice on Reddit
@@fewcandy yeah, I'd noticed a few changes on the workshop...its time to organise the mod list. Not something I'm looking forward to 😂
@@thewytchdoktor No it can be a pain!!
0:36 I'm sorry FewCandy, but that Lafayette Land is far too efficiently shaped for this game
Thank you for the explanation FC, was wondering how this would work! Excited to see more P&P action in Auridon too!!
Thanks Malay! Hopefully something coming next week in Auridon for you all... 😄
Among all benefits you got here is that there are no cargo traffic to the roads outside the industrial area. 😎
Huge benefit! 😄
Less freeways is a blessing. Could this work in the real world. Think it could.
did you try adding a cargo service point on a road in the industry area then obviously making sure that the building is included in the ped zone?
so many ideas to try with the dlc I love it 🥰
I did try this, but the trucks from the industry don't deliver to the service point so no go! 😫 would have been great if it did!
Damn, still it's neat, fully isolated islands are a thing though apart from deathcare you have an island build in aurdion that I'm sure you changed uses with rico if I remember, you could remove the garbage and reinstate the commercial now. The crem could be just a pretend church.@@fewcandy
if Industry DLC is pedestrianised it just becomes weird like how will the logs or oil containers be moved? takes away the fun in industries without any trucks moving around
Totally agree. This was an experiment and not something I'd do in my actual city builds!
You could separate the forest area on its own with a cargo train delivering the logs to a finished goods area with limited trucks from the cargo area to the factories. Think it would be more realistic.
Interesting it seems look like to work for consoles also.
It will!
The only thing why I don’t do this is cause money
Make lots of money from industry areas though!
Walkable industry is the most useless thing ever lol, goods need to be transported by car, not by people
💯😂
