- In today's episode of our interview series with Chris Palmer, we discuss Chris' ownership experience with the 90s V12 legend, the Lamborghini Diablo.
_____
Chris Palmer has owned most, if not all of the greatest cars from the 80s, 90s and 2000s including two McLaren F1s, multiple F40s including an F40 LM, Pagani Zonda S and road legal Porsche 962 to name just a few.
He owned these cars in period when they weren't quite as priceless as they are now and used and drove them all as intended.
In this 4 part mini-series, we sit down with Chris, wind the clock back and find out what it was like to own these legendary cars and dig deep into some of his most fond memories.

Hes lived the supercar dream, fair play, I've really enjoyed these interviews 👏
He certainly has 👏🏼 great to hear
@@scd Whatever happened to his McLaren F1 LM he drove years back and presented from that exact front yard alongside the Enzo ?? Surely he wouldnt sell it RIGHT ? Lol
This series works so well, no screeching tyres or rev battles, just the consummate car guy calmly recollecting stories of his life with the ultimate super car history. I could listen to these all day. Chris’s passion and knowledge shines through it all
This is a absolute top series! Chris has a great way of telling the stories and has a great collection!
Continue with other collectors!
Will do! Thank you
This man is one of the finest supercar's connoisseur of all time.
What a legend.
The Diablo is the car that got me into cars (I was born in 1988). Never looked back since then. The dream to own one will never go. Great to here this story. Thank you.
Me too, I seen Dumb and Dumber at the theatre in 1995 and have been obsessed ever since. My partner agreed if I didnt drink alcohol for 20 years, she will buy me one, well only 18 years to go now 😆. Working towards getting one sooner
Where’s part 5? Please do more episodes, Chris is wonderful in the way he presents his memories of the cars.
Great series! LOVE the Diablo. The 2001 6.0 is my favorite (really a re-bodied GT) 😁
Good choice! Epic cars
A Diablo GT is just absolute perfection.
7:20 That definitely was the golden age of supercars. Childhood memories 😢
Could listen to this guy all day.
Chris palmer what a legend....great interviews
He’s such a great guy! Glad you’re enjoying the series
Amazing series chaps - more please!
I love these videos! You need to go more of these interviews with owners!
These are excellent videos. Best series of videos I’ve seen in a long time. Please keep them coming! When is the next one out? 😃
Soon!! Thanks 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Mr. Palmer, Please give more interviews!
We’ve got a few more to share!
Don’t forget the carrera GT!
Quality content, really interesting.
It's like sitting in a pub listening to a snapshot of Chris's car history. Great work. Atb
🙌🏼🙌🏼
great vids thanks for sharing
🙌🙌🙌🙌 part 7!!!
Where is the video about the pink Countach!?
I love hearing his stories(life).
So do we!
This car and the diablo GT are rare bulls.
Man, I usually _hate_ silver on cars but I think it looks even better than purple on the se30 (which is my favorite color.)
Where’s part 5…?????
Yeah I remember having it my ‘watch later’ queue and then it went, something about a pink Countach? Bit odd, thought they might have taken it down to tweak it for some reason but no sign of it! What are you saying @supercardriver?
My neighbour had rainbow colored Diablo Rinspeed. What a beast.
My favourite car ever from when ever I saw it first time as a child. In the 30th violet.
👌🏼
That GT Diablo 🫠 is a beaut!
Awesome car
Diablo is such a great car but naturally has its drawbacks. I had one back in 2000 (95 Diablo) but I was too tall for the car (1.98m). The odd positioning of the pedals is also a drawback. Zero rear visibility. Rough ride. Still a fun car. The SE30 Jota is my favorite car of all time though along with the McLaren F1 and F50... noticing a timing theme? Just as Chris points out in this video. Amazing bits of kit from that period.
I'm 1.98cm too and have wanted a Diablo so bad since childhood. Breaks my heart to hear it was too small for you, but I've owned a Toyota Yaris before, so you think its a manageable cramped?
Friend of mine owned this and a xj220. He told me the se was faster than the xj230.
I was lucky enough to drive the ex Alpine showcar SE30 Jota. The pedal positions are crap, the induction roar more than made up for that! (and yes, I was looking for the accelerator whilst driving it!)
The diablo is the ultimate Lamborghini 👌
Where is part 5 please? Sorry I cannot find it anywhere, if anyone can help?
What happened to the last video?
wheres part 5?
Would love to know what he currently has
What happened to part 5?
Between the Zonda and F40, on the wall, is that a BMW E36 M3? Maybe E46?
Well spotted! It's an image of an E46 M3 CSL.
Dis guy Chris is da Real deal Supercar Owner n wif great taste n lives to tell da tale!
Unlike those fucking Fake Guru Influencers! disgusting!
I just find it funny how Chris talks about usability compared to the Diablo GT as if he is going to go on a week long road trip with his SE30. I assure you, if the GT wasn't worth 3 times as much as an SE30, he would have gone for the GT!
Where is episode number 5?
I can't find part 5...
Where's part 5?
Where’s part 5?
Part 5? where is part 5?
How does Mr Palmer afford to buy his cars? Who is this guy?
This guy like 4 accents. He certainly qualifies as a Lambo owner.
😂
No air conditioning AND the windows don’t open?
so the real question is, what's he do for a living? 😂
10:50 the legend says, that the next editions of the concour everyone arrived dirty with their farm boots on and some horse shit splashed on their car
The SE has to be purple and not this boring grey color..very cool car nonetheless
Haters never prosper. Remember that.
I think it looks fantastic in both purple and silver.
I love these stories. Not a fan of the stock Diablo, they are more GT cars than F40 IMO. The sort of thing Rod Stewart would drive... and fucking massive, like an aircraft carrier. Pretty ugly.
Beauty is subjective but you have horrible taste if you think diablos are ugly.
