      exorcism is the BS Vatican tries to keep in media to prove their legitimacy. Only Jesus and the Disciples(including Judas) could do that.

    I agree with John, salvation does not depend on merit. It depends on intent, if one attempts to get to know God (via their indwelling Thought Adjuster), they will succeed.

    GOD IS IPSUM ESSE SUBSISTENS
    THE ESSENCE OF GOD
    The Five Ways not only prove the existence of God, but give us some glimpses of the essnce or nature of God. There are two question we can ask about anything, one about its exixtence a nd another about its essence or nature. So with God, we have first seen the question about His existence, and now we proceed to investigate how much we can know about His nature.
    From all that we have been discussing all along, we can say right from the start that we can even give a difinition can be. Of course, a difinition of God can never be perfect for us, i. e. inexpressible. because He is incomprehensible, as we said.
    Nevertheless, we can say something which is strictly true, however incomprehensible it mar be, about His essence, and this is that He is the fullnessbof being, subsistent being itself, ipsum esse subsistens: the source of all being, the being by essence as distinct from the being by participation. This is truly His definition: that He is. For all other being, "to be" is the act of their essence; for God, "to be" is His very essence.
    There is a correlation of this in divine revelation, when in Exodus 3:14 God gives His name to Moses as I AM WHO AM and HE WHO IS, which St. Thomas understood precisely as we have noted, and called it "this sublime truth" (haec sublimis veritas).
    Red and reflect from my poor knowledge.
    God bless us all!!♥♥♥ all!!

    Nonsense. The synoptic gospels were written anonymously and in Greek. The first gospel Mark was copied sometimes word for word by the other gospels. We don’t have any originals and the gospels were copied and changed many times.

    On the resurrection of Jesus: yes, he died on the cross. The Roman spear in his side ensured that he did.
    Did he come back in the same body? Well, given that he could enter a locked room without knocking to be let in, his new body seems to not be entirely physical, doesn't it? We're told in a divine revelation that he was in a morontia body and that his physical one was destroyed by the angels, who didn't want to have to endure watching it decompose. So, they accelerated time and made it decompose in an instant (IMHO producing the Shroud of Turin in the process).
    Jesus never told his followers that to be saved, they had to believe in him being raised, let alone in the same body he died in. The apostles simply assumed that because Lazarus was in his old body, Jesus would be too. Jesus told his followers that to be saved, they had to accept God as their father, and to get to know God, and attempt to be like him (more perfect than they currently were).

      Go look at any contemporary historical source for Jesus and you'll find that the New Testament theology was being taught immediately upon his death.
      Let's take Paul. Critical new testament scholars will all agree that 7-8, depending on who you ask, of Paul's epistles are historically reliable.
      The most popular year for the death of Jesus is 30 AD, some say 31 or 33. Not a total concensus.
      Either way, Paul, who used to be called Saul, was a devout Jew and killing and persecuting Christians and trying to stamp them out. That already means that the Christian faith existed prior to Paul's conversion. Paul converts to christianity after claiming to have seen the risen Jesus. The date of Paul's conversion is 1 to 3 years after the death of Jesus.
      Paul travels to Jerusalem 3 years later, after his conversion and meets with Peter and James the brother of Jesus, two apostles and more importantly, eye witnesses to Jesus. They convene for 15 days.
      Paul then goes to, if i'm remembering correctly, Corinth in Greece to minister. While there he writes, "I gave you what I was given." Speaking to his congregation. Based on that alone we know with a certainty what the early church was teaching at 3 to 6 years after Christ's death.

      The Bible is full of innuendo alluding to such things. The mystery teachings are hinted at throughout. One needs to know what to look for. Does no one ask how Elisha and Elija got their gifts and what they understood? In the NT it basically says Christ gave a transmission of healing abilities to his disciples. That’s only a few examples. I don’t know if he was of the Essene schools but he knew things that are secret to most unless prepared for the knowledge.

    "The one true God..." how arrogant can you get? No one owns God. Each monotheistic religion attempts to understand God. Much of what's in the Bible are anthropomorphic versions of gods. All prayers get routed to the same deity. Jesus actually addressed this prior to his public ministry:
    134:4.3 (1486.6) If different religions recognize the spirit sovereignty of God the Father, then will all such religions remain at peace. *Only when one religion assumes that it is in some way superior to all others, and that it possesses exclusive authority over other religions, will such a religion presume to be intolerant of other religions or dare to persecute other religious believers.*
    134:4.4 (1487.1) Religious peace - brotherhood - can never exist unless all religions are willing to completely divest themselves of all ecclesiastical authority and fully surrender all concept of spiritual sovereignty. God alone is spirit sovereign.
    134:4.5 (1487.2) You cannot have equality among religions (religious liberty) without having religious wars unless all religions consent to the transfer of all religious sovereignty to some superhuman level, to God himself.
    134:4.6 (1487.3) The kingdom of heaven in the hearts of men will create religious unity (not necessarily uniformity) because any and all religious groups composed of such religious believers will be free from all notions of ecclesiastical authority - religious sovereignty.

    Unfortunately, Dr. Lennox has not cited any reason why someone should believe in Christianity rather than in other religions. He has merely explained that he favors Christianity because it is much easier. Unquestionably, 95% of youths would choose a university that gives out degrees w/o having to pass exams or do research projects, over universities that do have these requirements -- but that would not indicate it is a better university, merely that it makes life easier for its students. Similarly, he has chosen Christianity because it is not as demanding as Judaism, not because he has evidence it is the true religion.

    • @YeetBix
      @YeetBix Před 4 měsíci

      I get where your logic is coming from but he spoke about evidence through historical investigations of the resurection of Jesus after he died and for that reason he has chosen Christianity. He has most definitely cited research in other interviews but could not in the short time he was given in this one which is the thing that annoys me about these short questions answering interviews. He then proceeded with the ancient historical claim he had to explain what Christianity is as opposed to the other Abrahamic religions to clear up people's assumptions about the religion which is often a barrier to people debating it.

    • @lsmart
      @lsmart Před 4 měsíci

      @@YeetBix That's fine. If I saw those arguments, I could accept or reject them. I did not like the fact that the heading suggested that this video proves why Christianity is the only true religion, when in fact it does nothing of the kind. In general, I find his videos in favor of the existence of a God very convincing, because he uses strong logic. I find his "proofs" for Christianity far less convincing, because he fails to provide any answers for the numerous problems in accepting both the Old Testament and Christianity as the truth, since the former explicitly contradicts the essential tenets of the latter.

    • @YeetBix
      @YeetBix Před 4 měsíci +1

      Understandable. I recommend you do research through a Christian and non perspective to see if there is any bias. I believe it is true that Jesus resurrected through historical research and that there is no contradictions in the bible and people simply misunderstand in their arguments because of the context in which a particular passage may be written. Have fun with it, I really enjoy the research.@@lsmart

      6 minimal facts for the resurrection of Jesus. These all are in consensus by critical New Testament scholars, some are staunch Atheists like Bart Ehrman.
      1) that Jesus died by crucifixion
      2) that very soon afterwards, his followers had real experiences that they thought were actual appearances of the risen Jesus
      3) that their lives were transformed as a result, even to the point of being willing to die specifically for their faith in the resurrection message
      4) that these things were taught very early, soon after the crucifixion
      5) that James, Jesus’ unbelieving brother, became a Christian due to his own experience that he thought was the resurrected Christ
      6) that the Christian persecutor Paul (formerly Saul of Tarsus) also became a believer after a similar experience.
      You could add in the empty tomb, but only around 75% of scholars in this field agree on that, so it doesn't quite meet the criteria to be added to the list.
