Many years later.....Yes, remember the cross Justin W. Remember the only way to the Father is through repentance, turn from what we know to be wrong , pick up our cross and follow Jesus. No one said it would be easy. No one said we should celebrate our sin but lay down our lives , it's a narrow road, difficult, weigh up the cost but it's a worthy walk.

Clive Cook It is nonsensical to those inclined to disparage what the have never before considered. As in all of life, one’s capacity to adopt a new idea depends upon whether one is prepared to reconsider his/her present convictions on related matters. Jesus said.. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death... And the time will come when death ceases upon you as the arresting officer and drags you before the judge of the universe to answer for violating his law.. All the crying of innocence in the world won't help you in this court.. The truth will come out.. Your thought life will come out .. All the lies.. The lusts..hate.. Adultery.. Fornication.. Stealing...pride.. Blasphemy..abominations.. God is holy Jesus said all the idol words a man speaks he will give account for on the day of judgement.. So we need to repent and trust in God's mercy.. Jesus died on the cross for our sins so we wouldn't have to go to hell.. We violated God's law the ten commandments and Jesus paid the fine...bibles says Let everyone who names the name of Christ Depart from inequity. That won’t save you, but you don’t want to play the hypocritic and say I’m a Christian and still fornicate.. lust.. lie.. hate.. Steal.. blasphemy... you have to be genuine in your repentance and trust in Jesus, your fear is an intrical part of salvation. The bible says through the fear of the lord men depart from evil.. The reason you need a saviour is because you’ve sinned against God and his wrath abides upon you, and you need to be washed.. cleansed and a new heart with new desires created within you.. and that’s what true conversion is and then you’ll bring forth fruits of righteousness 🕊️

30 mins 'the Cathedral should be a safe place to do risky things in Christ's service.' Is a very honourable thing to want. However, the church is strong at building local communities but as a religious institution, I feel it increases political unrest. Transform churches into sports and exercise centres, or put the church in charge of sports and exercise centres, will reduce political unrest. But not in my lifetime.

Alex Jeffs I am reading Proverbs, but I may start to read the new testament next and not Ecclesiastes. Because I maybe missing something. The strongest belief Jesus has left me, was a man as you say threatening the political system.
But he was also a man coerced into saying he was god. For that he was killed. A leader, a man of miracles.
We cannot abandon religion, healing, motivation, grace, becoming aware of god: it appears to even stop me thinking. But religion appears to be at a price: Political unrest.
Children are not adults, they can and probably should be taught religion, and why some think it maybe beneficial in some ways, but toxic to adults in others. And as they turn into adults, they are taught Exercise and Sport, by and large recognises God, but avoids by and large political unrest.
And I think of the recent Afghan volleyball match where a suicide bomber blew himself up, and think of those mosques full of adults fuelling their political unrest. And our Synagogues and Churches, apart from teaching children, doing much the same thing: fuelling political unrest.
I have emailed the Archbishop, Prince Charles, Teresa May, to say I think religion increases political unrest. So things may change, or they may not.
