Just wanted you to know I passed my Nclex. Im from Georgia. I have been watching you during my nursing program. I appreciate you, I know there has been times you were exhausted trying yo give us information but you kept fighting on. I have much love& respect for you Woman of God. Truly you are walking in one of your purposes & calling. You have many more gifts inside of you to be birthed
there was a practice select all that apply question that was on patient teaching of digoxin. one of the correct answers was “have patient check their radical pulse before taking digoxin” and i was thinking that was a trick question bc it wasn’t apical. can you explain
Think about it like this. As a nurse,we anatomically know where to find the apical pulse. What's the likelihood your patient is going to understand how to take their OWN apical pulse? Teaching them on their radial pulse is an easy anatomical landmark. We check for apical because it's the most accurate. However when your patient goes on their merry way with their digoxin, someone still has to take that pulse. So we have to teach them. Best way for them to do it on THEMSELVES is radial
Thay gave it me for afib,i allready have a heart rate of 50 t0 55 and whilst on it went diwn to 38.dizzy brain fog,no did no what i wasdoing, felt sick.i kept telling them, thay finally took me off it,and have never felt better.

Is atropine need to giving
It’s a cholinergic antagonist, atropine May increase heart rate but won’t increase the contractility like digoxin would
