- Famed Teamster Union president Jimmy Hoffa, who had known ties to organized crime, vanished in 1975 and was later presumed dead, but the details of how and when he died remain a mystery. While no one was ever ultimately charged, the FBI did have a few suspects, most notably Hoffa's closest confidant, Charles "Chuckie" O'Brien. Now, O’Brien’s stepson Jack Goldsmith argues the intelligence agency had it all wrong in his new book, ‘In Hoffa's Shadow: A Stepfather, a Disappearance in Detroit, and My Search for the Truth.’ Goldsmith is also a Harvard law professor, former top lawyer at the Office of Legal Counsel and a former assistant attorney general in the George W. Bush Administration. Jim Braude was joined by Jack Goldsmith.
Just trying to sell his book.
It really is a great book. I haven't seen the movie, but I don't know why it would be any more believable.
excellent book
I had to keep rewinding back because I thought he said murdered his mom. Lol
haha not just me...
Now imagine for someone who isn't a native english speaker, i had to figure it out because i could only hear that

"They wouldn't DARE"
Who can believe a word a politician says? Especially when they’re tryin to flog a book.
Nobody alive knows where his remains are everyone was taken care of or died off by now.
I don't know what happened to Hoffa but I know that Provenzano, Giacalone and a man that I worked for had lunch at Macus Red Fox restaurant a couple days before Hoffa dissappeared from there. The three of them ate together. I was just the driver and was allowed to have lunch alone. I knew Giacalone but not Provenzano.
What gets me is Mr. Hoffa's attorney as well as for the teamsters was the one and only Attorney Bill Bufalini , whose cousin was the one & only mob boss Russell Bufalini also had two known nicknames " McGee", & " The Old Man" , Russell Bufalini, was the Mob Boss of Pennsylvania from 1959 to 1989 now if that doesn't show Mob Ties then I don't know what else would I can't help but wonder if FBI knew or looked into these ties! Attorney Bill Bufalini broke his silence that he arranged the tapping aka bugged Marilyn Monroe's home that he paid some guy $17,000 for Hoffa because she was having an affair with Robert Kennedy, Mr. Hoffa wanted to try to get some information on Robert Kennedy to keep himself from going to prison, what better way then wire tapping Marilyn's home so again, Mr. Hoffa asked his attorney Mr. Bill Bufalini, to which was the cousin of the Mob Boss of Pennsylvania Russell Bufalini, theres the Mafia dude that this guy refused to give in this interview Bill Bufalini, gave an interview 30 years after Mr Hoffa was missing to Murray, the dude that has that show, "you are the father" Murray is famously known for that one line, Murray, infact in the interview wondered why Bill spoke out after 30 yrs. , it was told that it was because he was dying to which Bill did die of leukemia in 1990, "Dam", how the plot thickens when you start looking into informations Google, is a fabulous tool! You can find the interview with Attorney Bill Bufalini and Murray right here search box in our CZcams world although he doesn't meantion who his cousin is I found out because I looked up the yr and howv Attorney Bill Bufalini, passes! I do pray that Mr. Hoffa, if buried somewhere that he is found and finally laid to rest no-one deserves what happened or if he was to be murdered he should of at least been able to have been buried Mr.Hoffa has children & grandchildren who loved him although it's been so many yrs my Lord near what 70 yrs. I wonder if his family will ever have that closure, to which if there is someone still alive or had been told or overheard as a child what happened to Mr. Hoffa they come fourth and let all heal" MIRICAL'S", can happen we never know but, if he had more prayers it just could help a bit! Mr. Hoffa's, wife may she Rest In Peace alone poor women deserves her husband back along with his children & family! I wonder if Attorney Bill Bufalini ever spoke of or had knowledge of what happened to his friend & client Mr. Hoffa , I believe had he well, he would of told the world when he wrote as well as spoke of Mr. Hoffa after all he knew he was dying but, he still had loved one's who still needed protection and it could of or would of been the main reason why he stood clear of Mr. Hoffa's disappearance period! Lord Bless Dam, our Country sure had some shaddy players back in the day however, we had the strongest Country as well in exchange of all the crooks from Kennedy's, Nixon and it got worse and all fell apart from the Clintons on right after that peanut man President Carter.... Happy Holidays to you all....
kelly higgins Bufalino is their last name.
Hoffa went to the warhammer world and got dropped in Araby. Taught the waterwheel, trash disposal and population control.
Well what happened I’m still waiting !!!!!
My parents both use to work for him
Who Jimmy Hoffa? Or Jim Braude or Jack Goldsmith?
I’m convinced of Sheeran’s account. He might’ve embellished his role, but it’s unlikely Hoffa would’ve gotten into that car without Frank “The Irishman” by his side.
I believe shareen was the lure and Sally bugs was the gunman. Why else would he have been there. They made shareen the gunman to sell the book
Quite frankly, after reading much about Sheeran on the web, nobody believes his “story,” and most consider it fantasy. Not even mafia experts believe his stories. I’m not buying his confession, nor the book with the silly name (really, do you paint houses? WTF!). There is nothing or no one who has corroborated his assertions. I did like the movie though-I thought it was great, and it lite my interest in the case. I just don’t believe all aspects of it, and definitely not Sheeran’s version of events.
Sherran may have been involved in luring him into the house, as was Chucky (I think Chucky was duped and used as bait) but I feel Sally Bugs fired the shots. I do believe the cremation story since the other stories of taking Jimmy in a barrel on a "Weekend at Bernie's" adventure just seems ridiculous
Agreed
I'm with u on that one makes way more sense, it's what I would do....
According to Col. William Bishop in The Man Who Knew Too Much Russell, Hoffa paid Cuban exile Rolando Masferrer later blown up in a car bomb, 50,000 to set up a hit team against JFK. Bishop admits to killing one of the assassins himself later on. Bishop was connected to many major suspects and was dying of cancer when he said that.
The meeting was supposed to held in public. For hoffa s. Safety. He wouldn’t have walked in that house first like in the movie. Sheeran tried to dignify his story. He betrayed his friend and I bet Hoffa was forced into the car
Hoffa was a fighter if they forced him by gun point into a car he would have refused cause he known he be dead
People saw him get into the back seat of a car he was not forced coerced maybe not forced
They used his stepson and Frank Sheeran, one of his only friends remaining at the time in order to lure him in the car thinking he was safe. That part was correct on behalf of *THE IRISHMAN,* but when he walked into the house, it was actually Sally Buggs who killed him. He was then taken to a funeral home on the block and was cremated within an hour. Well before anyone even knew he was missing. This is the mob people! If they do that for an average nobody they fear being found, then they def would do it to one of the most famous figures in the country. They even found traces of his scent and/or blood in the backseat and years later, *THE TRUNK!!* Combine that w/ the fact that they had his dimwitted stepson pick up a half frozen fish and place it in the backseat prior in order to throw possible investigators off as well as covering up scent and what does that tell you??
Sheeran was not involved. The movie was very inaccurate.
James "RIDDLE" Hoffa.
God said "prophecy is in the name"
Chuckie was a Punk
What happens in the mob stays in the Mob. !!
It's called FAMILY BUSINESS
So who killed Hoffa???
I kinda think he could've ran off to a different country to start a new life. They say he wasn't a gangster but he worked with them and I don't think it's impossible for them to help him fake his death. Maybe he was sick of the position he was in and just left it all behind including his family as harsh as that sounds.
Yeah...he's with Elvis and Tupac
I mean it is a possibility
Do you still believe in Santa Claus and the too fairy also?
Jimmy's body is in a small town in south central PA.
RUSSELL BUFALINO IS THE MOBSTERS NAME.
Actually, it's Rosario Bufalino.
So the story told in The irishman wasn’t even the most the most popular theory out there? I looked up and there’s another film Hoffa which took another different theory on who’s the real killer and I wonder which film could I take more seriously.
I THINK AT THIS POINT DOESN'T MATTER ANYMORE, WE ALL KNOIW THEY KILLED HIM. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND THE MYSTERY SURROUNDING IT AFTER ALL THIS TIME??!!
@@Plainsimple67 I think the main mystery is why his body was never found. Who did it just kinda goes with it. Like, where is his his body and who hid it , why hasn't it been found?
@@BlingoTTM WHOEVER HAD HIM KILLED, HATED HIM TO POINT THAT DIDN'T WANT A SINGLE TRACE OF HIM TI BE FOUND, THAT'S ALL!!! A VERY VENGEFUL MURDER AND I THINK THAT'S PRETTY MUCH SUMS IT UP.🤔 KNOWING WHERE HIS BODY IS TODAY, HOW IS THAT GOING TO HELP ANYTHING ANYMORE!!!
@@Plainsimple67 Lol it's not going to help. It's just mysterious I guess
@@Plainsimple67 it helps his next of kin
All they want is destroy the Irishman movie.. Why Now they talking about jimmy hoffa after the movie came to screen?..
The movie was great! I just don’t believe Sheeran’s version of events. Of course a movie with a the main theme about JR Hoffa will ignite interest in the “Crime of the Century” once again.
Hoffa was waiting for giacalone enuff said
Good point
La cosa nostra enuff said
His glasses look great
Dude i ❤ al pacino. The whole movie i couldn't get past the fact that he looked NOTHING like jimmy hoffa. I'm 33 and and a documentary lover about anything. As many jimmy hoffa documentaries as I've watched i can picture the man better than my own mother and hell no. But he played the personality damn well! I didn't even know that was al pacino.
The Movie is more accurate then this interview. "The Irishman"
Nobody knows but the very few that did it
Whoever killed him are probably dead now as well.
Michael Franzese who who was in Columbo family has said on many interviews that the killer is alive. The body is also buried deep "somewhere" he knw who did it and where the body is but won't tell any1.
@@suhail1200 he didnt say he knows where hoffa is resting technically he said he is in a wet place and remember franz is a very smart slick man if he knew anything he will use it in the future for monetary gain if he deems necessary
You are right...and, any and all that know anything either have or will go to their graves with that knowledge. No one will ever serve time for this crime. Bottom line-it was a mafia hit.
Tony Jaqueloni was the dudes name he won’t say. Not a house hold name.
En Lightened Nope - Mob Boss of Pennsylvania Russell Bufalini cousin to Mr. Hoffa's Attorney aa well as Attorney for the Teamsters! That's the Mob Boss aka as "McGee" & " The Old Man " Mr. Hoffa's Attorney Bill Bufalini, did an interview which you can search box right here CZcams has the interview to which told of how he paid $17,000 to have Marilyn Monroe's home bugged so that Mr Hoffa would and hoped to gain some informations on Robert Kennedy himself in order to stay out of prison - Murray did wonder why it took Bill Bufalini, 30yrs. to come fourth and it was told because Bill Bufalini, was dying INFACT thsts how I found out that not only was Bill Bufalini, Hoffa's Attorney but that he was the head Attorney for the Teamsters as well once I Googled to find out the yr. He passed 1990 and how leukemia in black & white it stated his cousin was the one and only Mob Boss of Pennsylvania Russell Bufalini aka " McGee" aka " The Old Man" ... Happy Holidays 😊
Sheeren already admitted it on video no need for a book $
Kyle Kiesewetter lol he didn’t do it tho

Pacino was not a good choice to play Hoffa.
Why
He ain't so special hell I was the one in the car when he was KILLED LUCKY me but go ahead with your nobodys know nothing interview
Sheeran shot him in the head and they cremated him. That explains why they didn't find his body. What happened to Bobby Ciara?
Sheeran did it ...
The End..
