- Minecraft, But It's The World Record... My old record was beaten by IlluminaHD, so I had to come back and attempt to take the record back!

For anyone watching any of my old "professional speedruns", this run was officially valid and was world record for a short period of time! These runs were done on vanilla Minecraft/Optifine and did not have any mods. If you're coming here due to an invalid run from 2020, that was for a 1.16 run that was never on my CZcams and was done on "fabric"! People confuse them sometimes, as that run is not counted towards the leaderboard and the runs on my CZcams all were. Any records on my CZcams were beaten a long time ago though! Really awesome for memories sake :) I don't speedrun competitively anymore, and the records you'll see on my channel were before speedrunning Minecraft competitively was a huge thing, so don't take these half decent times too seriously haha

when dream placed the crafting table it actually did make a gravel sound.

It was lag, he had gravel in his hand and placed it down *made gravel sound* and a crafting table appeared
Before placing his bench diamond pickaxe just magically appears in his inventory slot

I think what happened is the game forgot the pickaxe existed, so Dream moves the crafting table into the pickaxe slot, then moves the gravel into the last slot. When he places the gravel, the game remembers the pickaxe existed so it forces the crafting table into the slot the gravel was in and forces the gravel back into his inventory.

That was THE luckiest run I have ever seen so far, honestly. Notch Apple, 8 Diamonds etc. in 2 temples that weren't far from each other. Spawning on the fortress. Ender Eye going down exactly where u stopped.
Also what the heck even was this world seed in general, hello? Pillager Tower, 2 temples and an Igloo within a village tho?! And the lucky lava lake right next to it.

Rewatching this video years later I saw this:
At 5:10 Dream drops sand while he switched to a diamond pickaxe, which made it so the pickaxe is invisible in his inventory. When he places gravel later at 5:54, it places as a crafting table, however still makes the sound of placing gravel. He then opens the crafting table, which is when the diamond pickaxe returns to his hotbar, and, confused why he placed it instead of gravel, continues to place the gravel.
It amazes be how Dream is just so quick for this game, that it causes the game to be glitched.

he pressed 2 on his keyboard and minecraft registered that he was about to place a crafting table, but he pressed 2 and placed the block so fast that the game couldn't tell if he still had gravel in his hand or not. This is also why he picked up gravel when he went into his crafting table.
(if you look closely at his hotbar, you see it doesn't switch to the crafting table slot, and the 9 gravel dissapears.)
this is a really common issue, it's caused by the ghost pickaxe in his hotbar
