The phenomenon of threatening to leave the country if one's preferred candidate doesn't win in an election is a familiar one, not just in the United States but globally. It's a recurring narrative that surfaces with every election cycle, often accompanied by declarations of intent to emigrate. However, history has shown that the majority of individuals who make such statements never actually follow through. In today's video, we will delve into the deeper issue of treating causes rather than symptoms, encouraging a broader perspective on political dissatisfaction and exploring alternative approaches to addressing it.

My __Single Mother_ left the U.S. in *1969,* and took me as a small child with her to Brazil. Then after 2 years, to Portugal. Then to Kenya. Ultimately back to the U.S. after 4+ years. I was sorta' "born into" this. In my 60's now, traveled a lot, and have Lived in the past - and live now in various Countries. My words of wisdom, for what its worth, is that I realized a long time ago that I don't want to live anywhere near my U.S. Friends. So when they ask "How's it going over there?" My pat response is "naaah, its ok, but there are a lot of problems here, you wouldn't like it."

@@bibibachmd9995 You nailed it! It "should" be what's an important value at the _Individual_ level. Most people remain at the *Tribal* level; they're main concern is with what others tell them is important. I had to accept this regarding my friends. I respect them but they do not think like me. They are going to do what they want to do, irrespective of what I think is logical to me.
I just had a long conversation with a Woman I've known since childhood. About 60 years. She expressed to me that a friend of hers was talking about establishing a "Plan-B" residence in Costa Rica. Of course I applauded it. But my friend said "She is never going to leave the U.S., _Regardless_ of the circumstances."
As a Woman of color in America, her skill and talent have been demonstrably subjugated. Yet she - in her heart of hearts - believes she can prove herself to the culture at large. There is no way I can get her to consider better (not perfect) opportunities -without the cultural prejudices - in other geographies. She has to live her own life, as do I.

They reject it on the basis of their false beliefs and their lack of knowledge. It's very sad, and easy to see the results of that. They, however, act like it's still 1985 and always will be. They're stuck in time, and "blind," imperceptive and without critical reasoning regarding realities that are right in front of their face. It's grieving, but you can't choose wisdom for another adult. Some call it willful ignorance.
Some might remember the *_Back To The Future 2_* movie line, quoting Reagan, that went *_"It's always morning in America, even in the afternoon."_* That was an '80s quote, yet people hold to it, emotionally.

The biggest challenge to leave is to continue earning USD while abroad. Just relocating because your job allows you to work remote isn't a safe move. If your employer fires you or tells you can't work remotely, what are you going to do? That's the challenge and what I've been working so hard for the past two years now. To build a second income stream to not depend on a 9-5 in case the worst happens. Another thing is to lower your standard of living to archive this goal of moving abroad cause if you have a considerate income stream you could save a lot more money and have a buffer of savings in-case you lose your main source of income.

If you aren’t willing to endure the first moments away, you’ll not collect the benefits of quitting a bad deal. This needs thinking about the long term. You only build something great if you can build now, tomorrow, next year, next decade. Short term renders us blind. The US collectively only thinks about the present and it’s killing the country. The realization of the wrong direction is not in the next 5 years. It’s more likely about the next 30 years.

I've made a concerted effort to disengage from discussing US politics for a while now, its become too divisive and toxic and respectful dialogue can be a challenge. I have some family members who (during a gathering for dinner or celebration) always seem to gravitate into these conversations, its tiring and requires weaving non-political topics into the exchange just to make it tolerable. Since the pandemic ended, I have been traveling a lot to SE Asia - love the different cultures and I've met some truly wonderful people who made me feel so welcomed, appreciated, and we talk about life experiences versus politics. As soon as I know blue collar workers work. You don't really need language to be blue collar worker. But it's immigrants to wealthy countries like USA.
You may try Europe. They also in dire need of male labor. And have pretty decent pay comparatively speaking. And some form of free healthcare. Wait times are getting longer I heard. And now they have bad neighborhoods with immigrants that are on hard drugs. And you probably would need to use public transport. It's more decent than in USA.

Inflation is managed by the Fed and the chair of that is the same Republican appointed by Trump. The financial experts say the rate is at or below his goals, so blame him if you have complaints.
As for the border, there would be strict controls if the Republican controlled House had not killed the bill. Trump wanted to use it as an issue in the election and did not want problems solved. So again, you don’t appear to have gotten accurate information. I suggest you change sources to get the facts.
