You'd probably not need as good of a CPU for 4k gaming, even if you want it to be future proof.

@@MatthewBrisset agree to disagree, I have a 5800x and a 6900xt running my LG C1 and Im actually going to sell the 5800x for the 5900x for better 1% lows and framerates as I am very sensitive to it even at 4k. Its just that hard to push smooth 4k. Im also going to be overkill for 1440p as im also buying the new asus pg279qm which will be my new main and 4k on the side for content and triple A campaigns.

2:17 heads up for those who don’t know. Ali used this for b roll and it looks great but make sure to hold fans down like does the 2nd time. Leaving the fan loose when using air pressure may damage it
What are you talking about? How can that damage the fan?
@@TAPORZZ1 The fan bearings will go faster than what they’re supposed to causing damage.
@@ZioComposite highly doubt blowing air unevenly would cause it to spin faster than the rpm it is designed to spin at. Even if it does, the bearings shouldn't break... It's not like it'll spin at 5000 rpm
@@TAPORZZ1 it could potentially generate voltage a send it to the motherboard. Depends what kind of motor is in the fan though
For the GPU fans yeah, better hold them but for other case/rad fans, just disconnect then from the mobo & it'll be fine. As others pointed out, the bearings won't break with such a low rpm, but if you don't disconnect the cables there might be some voltage which might send voltage back

i used 2 20+5mm stand offs to create some space between the gpu and the spine on my meshelicious(after moving the spine closer to the motherboard side), this allowed plenty of room for good cable management! my specs are similar to this one too!

One thing I learned about cleaning a PC - don't ever blow air into dusty fans. The dust will get pushed inside the motor and the fan will become loud. I killed a bunch of fans this way. Now I remove the fans first, clean them with a brush, then blow dust off the components.

I built almost the same specced system (but with a 5800x instead). I originally used an AIO as well (Lian Li Galahad), but found that idle cpu temperatures to be too high (almost 60C) with the GPU dumping heat into the radiator. That also made the machine much louder to compensate. By contrast, I switched to a Scythe Big Shuriken 3 for the cpu and 140mm Uni fans in the front as exhaust, with much better results. I don't think that would work quite as well with a 5900x, but at least up to a 5800x, the shuriken 3 provided sufficient cooling and I had better idle temperatures. Having dual 140mm as front exhaust also did a great job drawing out the gpu+cpu heat simultaneously with very little fan noise. Going all air actually led to a much quieter case most of the time. Just something to consider if someone is building this with a 5800x or lower cpu. Cable management is also far easier without the radiator taking up all the space.

I used longer GPU standoffs in the Meshlicious and was able to make room for cables behind the GPU. Something to look into if cable management is an issue.

Man it’s funny, I started watching your videos in about 2020ish when you built your brothers first gaming rig and pretty much copied your build because I loved it so much… funny thing is that I stopped watching build videos since I got addicted building only to find 6mos late that his gaming rig received the same fate. I settled for a 3070ti gaming trio since I grabbed it in a Newegg shuffle and upgraded to a Ryzen 7 5800x, love it so far! I really only picked it since that card is a monster and was the only one I really like that would accommodate… anyways, love the work you do!

Negative pressure noctua 140mm fans at front with 3080ti as close to the mesh wall as possible results in benchmarks and intense gaming having neither 5900x or 3080ti FTW3 rusing above 74C for long gaming sessions with a noise from 2 ft away under 30dB, WITH an ambient temp of 80F. Pretty incredible what this case can do

Man, what a unit of a PC.. I think it is a little bit of a shame you ditched the Phanteks case, though. I've heard the thermals aren't great but it looks so cool! I have the Evolv Shift 2 (with one custom ordered mesh panel for the GPU side) with an OC'd 4.3ghz 3600, OC'D 2080 Super, 32gb 3.2ghz ram, b550i, AIO cooling with all Be Quiet fans. CPU temps are ~50C and GPU temps rarely touch 70C.
