Mikasa crying under the tree, and seeing "the end", Armin crying after seeing Mikasa carrying him broke me in a way words cant express it, im thankful to be alive and see this beautiful anime ending but im so heart broken and my brain can't fully accept that's really the ending

  • @gantashiro978

Fun fact: Isayama said in his most recent interview after the anime ended was that the reason why he ended it with Paradis falling and the cycle beginning again is because he felt that a happy peaceful ending for Paradis was "Hocky" and "Not believable" that he wanted the ending to reflect our own reality and he felt the most realistic outcome would be Paradis being nuked after enough time passed. Seeing that as his reasoning, I think it's very hard to refute why he ended it the way he did... P.S. I LOVED the ending

    • @coco-sh2ny
      @coco-sh2ny Před 7 měsíci +41

Me too. The ending is so realistic, especially what's happening in our world too. Human beings never learn. Even if the greatest heroes who died fighting for the country, the war would still continue. Because like I said, human beings never learn. I prefer this ending than unrealistic one even if this anime is fiction. Eren's death and sacrifice didn't go for nothing just like what others said because he fulfilled his goals: Give his friends long lives, drive the titans away (who disappeared with him).

for peace to exist war must exist as well. You can't have one without the other because humans are greedy by nature. Honestly speaking, what Eren did was actually the best option for the people in Paradise. 80% of humanity outside the walls is gone means more chances and longer periods of peace for the people on the island since they were a minority with little to no man power in comparison with the outside world. Eren gave the more time to be prepared for the next big war, that's all

    A recollection of thoughts :-
    1. Yimir was an interesting character unlike anything. She was fascinated with Mikasa and the resemblance of her story and hers, wanting to see if she will show those headaches (memories) to her of what could've been...how will she (mikasa) react. She was at peace when mikasa killed the one she loved as she wished she did the same.
    2. The war and conflict cycle continues...humans will be humans..that end scene was wayyyy too deep.
    3. Notice how we thought it was all eren, but after this episode the protagonist was Mikasa all along for me.
    4. Many people didn't understand eren and armin's dream convo like why armin all of a sudden became ok with it...HE WAS NOT he just knew that nothing can be done now eren will win and now all he could do is shoulder his pain and ease it. We saw eren being vulnerable first time...he was talking to his best friend when he said i dont want mikasa to be with anyone..AFTERALL EREN WAS A KID WHEN HE SAW THOSE MEMORIES BY KISSING HISTORIA'S HAND. POOR EREN SAW PAST PRESENT FUTURE ALL THE SAME, could not break the cycle.

So in a nutshell, Eren had Grisha kill the whole Reiss family except Rod so that Historia could be the one to kill him, so that she'd become queen, so that he could kiss her hand, unlock memories of the future and tell Kruger to tell Grisha to give birth to him.

That's a confusing nutshell you got there. So in a nutshell, Ymir loves her King the same way Mikasa love Eren, that's why she is enslaved by "love" all these times in the Path for 2000 years of eternity instances.
So somewhere deep down in Ymir heart, she has been seeking a way out of her toxic "love" relationship which is the only "love" approach she knew about.
That's why she has been waiting for that someone, who she can't manipulated directly due to her Ackermann bloodline, that's why Eren becomes her proxy to be manipulated by Ymir to reach this ending, to show Ymir how to end a toxic relation via Mikasa choice, which help Ymir finally end the titan curse upon Eldian, her bloodline once and for all.

AOT finally reaching to an end is breaking me ngl, what I love about the ending and Eren's character complexity is that when he had that great conversation with armin in the ocean, he said it himself, i did the rumbling for my desire not for anyone else, he wanted to do that, he wanted to seek his freedom no matter what.

It is also what Eren told Armin at the beach that the conflict will never end, whether titans exist or not, humans will always find something to fight over and will always try to kill each other.
It is a sad reality that happens in the world.
Edit: Plus I don’t normally comment on videos, but I couldn’t hold myself since it was you guys reacting to the last aot ep.

I think the post-credit ending just suggests history may just repeat itself with the emergence of a new founding titan, as a tiny piece of the hacllucigenia could've been buried with Eren's detached head and may have survived the centuries; laying dormant under the now gigantic tree and ready to attach to this random forager boy who happened upon it. It's not the same Ymir tree however because Ymir knocked that tree down during her first transformation. That tree also existed on the big continent while the Eren tree grew on Paradis right next to Shiganshina.

Guys, i want to say thank you for all you reaction video's. This was my 3th time watching AOT, but this time season 4 was finished. I literally watched you guys from s1 ep 1 till this episode, and i can tell you that you are by far my favorite reaction channel. The genuine interest, shock, smiles and tears you guys had were so much in line with my experience with this show. Just by being absorbed by this incredible story without being extra like a lot of other channels are. And my favorite part is how you guys notice the small details and dont talk nonsense during intense or emotional scenes. I just want to say thank you for sharing your experience in a dope way like you do.

AOT has always been narrated by Armin in the future, even in season one and throughout the seasons. the FIRST episode of season 1 started with:
'on that day.. humanity remembered.." in future sense.
and we can see armin in this finale last saying "The story of what we've seen .. let's tell them all of it" -- referring to the fact that the narration of AOT has always been told by future Armin, who is telling the rest of the world of their story from the day shiganshina was invaded when they were kids. It's amazing to see how far ahead Isayama (author ) thought ahead.
In the rolling credits of the finale, even the lyrics are saying "history will always repeat itself" -- as you can see Paradis is again at war, as humans always would. And possibly, The boy in the final moment going to a cave with his dog, a paralell to the moment Ymir walked in the cave and started titans.
I'll miss watching you guys reaction! you guys were fun as hell! happy you loved this show, and will continue watching you all.

The moment when Eren did his famous « Freedom » scene, was the moment he was the less Free in the show. He is saying that he always has thoses walls in front of him and now stealing the lives of the people who could see all the outside world for just seeing an horizon without ennemies proving that him and his friends deserve to have freedom because they are born into this world. The exact same dude it’s keeping moving forward like a dead bones titan in a rib cage, symbolising that Even if it’s moving he is dead because he has no really Free will everything it’s being determinated from the start. Including all the walls titans who are trained to accompagny him, so he never break Free from thoses walls they are still here with him. He wants to convince himself so bad that’s he has Free will everything was already in Motion so he Will keep moving forward and figth for proving that the future was his choices. What a tragic character

p.s. Armin taking off the ODM gear and going to meet the Marleyans is the teaching of Eren and Mikasa in the first episodes, remember? When he lacked self-confidence and sticks his neck out to defend his giant-turned friend as they were threatened by the garrison.

I just realized that the attack titans power is to see memories of it's future inheritors. Then how did Eren see the future to tell Historia what's to come? Only conclusion is the attack titan returns at some point in the future and tells Eren what happens. Then he tells Historia...
The ending with the tree already made it clear that the cycle would continue, but I just never noticed you could have figured that out before that finale scene.
    Amazing show 👏

Remember he shared the memories of what happened with Grisha (Grisha was telling Zeke that Eren showed him and it was horrible) and that's how Eren was able to see the future, through Grisha 's memories. it's a whole big time loop and wild to think about.
