  • Just a short video explaining how I ran my wiring for my light bar and side lights to the pioneer rack.
    There will be a more detailed video in the new year running through my rear setup and wiring through out.
    I hope this helps!

    Awesome mate thanks for video. I've just bought the updated 150 and looking at all options before I start upgrades. You initial video of the Rhino backbone install was awesome. So great to see your honesty in relating to install issues and perhaps with positive feedback Manufactures will listen and improve their products. Moving onto getting wiring up to the roof rack not a lot on CZcams hence my question and reach out to you. Really appreciate the response and now as a Subscriber to your channel look forward to more videos from you. Cheers from the Gold Coast.

      Thanks mate! Really means a lot! You’ll enjoy the Prado there bloody great cars on and off-road, so under rated. If your on Facebook the “Aussie 4WD Prado 150” page is really handy! I hope COVID is treating you well over east and have a great Christmas mate!

      @@JS_Adventure Cheers and agree about the Prado. I had a 120 series I was one of the first to obtain it when it was released and took it around Australia towing a 17ft caravan back in 2005. Great wagon!!!!!
      Blew me away when you mentioned my name on the video and thx heaps for the effort. There is definitely a shortfall on that subject so hopefully thru peoples searches on this subject you'll pick up further views.
      Looking forward to the video on what else you have done to the rear as well. I follow Fourby4diesel who has really good content and he has mentioned the Facebook page so ill have a look and become a member.
      Merry Christmas to you and your family and really look forward to up coming videos from you.
      Cheers Greg

      Thanks mate! Light bar is a kings 40” slim bar also the rear light bar is a kings 20” the side lights I had laying around but I believe there just a 6” generic twin pack from eBay. Hope that helps

    Nice video mate, just wondering have you experiencing the wind noise from this light bar and how do you eliminate it?

    • @JS_Adventure
      @JS_Adventure  Před 2 lety

      Cheers mate! Haven’t had any trouble with wind noise, I know a mate did though and he adjusted the height/angle/position a lot to loose the noise. We’re both using stedi brackets which have a little bit of adjustment

    Hi mate. I have just bought the current version of this lightbar, but the power cable looks much thicker and isnt long enough to run from roof rack to bonnet. Did yours have a different cable hardwired into the lightbar, or did you DIY snip and attach a wiring kit at the lightbar end? Cheers

    • @JS_Adventure
      @JS_Adventure  Před 2 lety

      The light bar has a Deutsche plug about 300mm into the wiring, the wiring from under bonnet was a generic kings harness mounted on the firewall and it just reached if I remember right, not sure if they have changed designs but it was all plug and play, no cutting but tight!

      @@JS_Adventure Beauty. Sounds like it is the same setup. Now that I know it's possible, I shall persist! Haha. Thanks mate :)

    How did you mount your side lights to the roof rack? With a channel nut?

    • @JS_Adventure
      @JS_Adventure  Před 2 lety

      Yep! Just a simple channel nut, is a bit fiddly but do able

  • @hotdealsandauction

    How did you plug the wiring harness to the high beam?

    • @JS_Adventure
      @JS_Adventure  Před 2 lety

      Hey mate the wiring harness came with a pass through like connector with a Deutsche plug as the 3rd plug. I think it also came with 2 different relays as the Prado is negatively switched

    There is no wind noise while driving?

    • @JS_Adventure
      @JS_Adventure  Před 3 lety

      Yes is a slight wind noise but not really that noticeable. Have to really concentrate to hear it with all windows up
