I dunno, the whole series is kind of all over the place and seems to be trying to placate to every sort of audience except the fans who actually knew the source material. Negasonic teenage Warhead was an obscure throw in mutant with psy abilities who was reimagined with the power of Cannonball (who Deadpool time travels extensively with) while going completely out of the way to make a chalk white Domino a light skinned black woman and completely leaving out her irrational fear of chickens. A lot of the choices feel forced. Heheheheheeh... X-Forced

The only thing he fears more is that he won't be the only one left, but deadpool will be there too, combine that with deadpools personality amd pansexuality and this is pretty normal behavior for them
