The fact that they added Tarkov and have been doing all these awesome sets recently just shows me that somebody over at Mega loves Halo as much as we do and I'm excited for what they release next

If they're doing these types of ideas for a set, Mega should do the Halo: Landfall trailer next, with the 2 ODSTs, Chain gun Warthog, Brute Chieftain, and maybe a H3 Marine or 2.

The marking on the upper left side of his helmet is a tiny headhunter skull actually, which is extremely impressive. Get a magnifying glass to really see it, it's that well printed.

@@DemarcationMedia I know, right? Tarkov may genuinely be my favorite Mega figure ever thanks to that tiny detail.
I am really looking forward for this set, it is truly amazing, Mega as a whole is thriving so much that some prices have actually LOWERED here, not by much, but Heroes at Walmart went down from 129MXN to 99MXN (1.5-ish USD less) and some sets arrived and had special sales pretty much at launch, not to mention that slowly but steadily, distribution has gotten better, I could find the whole Universe Blind bags set easily and even yesterday even found the full Infinite Wave Blind Bags 4!
As for the female ODST, they need to make more armormplates, not reduce the divesity, I'm sure eventually they'll do that, in the meantime, I like to think that maybe she's uhm...overequipped and that causes her armor to fit like that, it could be a bit of fun character building.

i hope these "platoon packs" are here to stay! i LOVE (and have) them all. I hope they dont go away! Didnt know about Tarkov, and thought the scratches were a misprint on mine LOL. I think when Mega realized how much we like Fireteam Raven, theyre like "Lets just give em a bunch on niche named ODST's, WHY NOT!"
Also i will say, the female torso, and the thy armor problems dont bother me at all personally!
But i totally see why both are a problem and you are not wrong lol

It's super easy to customize too--all you'd need is to paint the chestplate and the stripe on the helmet
I found that the chest pieces without the pegs for accessories work better with the female torso. I just swapped a few pieces around and it was fine.
Hmm odd.
It's hard to say what rank the drones are, due to inconsistencies between games. The blue one could be an ultra, if you wanted to, but the colour wouldn't be exactly right, and it doesn't have the horns. The silver doesn't seem to be of any particular rank, so you could imagine it as an elite unit
Ah, yeah I was looking them up on Google and it doesn't seem to be a set in stone thing.
@@DemarcationMedia I checked halopedia earlier today, and according to halo 3 odst’s ranking system, the drone majors are the blue ones and the ultras are the silver-ish ones. I know they look different in reach though so who knows at the end of the day
The Reach Drones have the same ranks as the ODST Drones just with a different design. These are from ODST so the ranks will be from that game
@@PackHunter117 considering Mega would give a halo 3 marine a halo 4/5 BR, I wouldn't count on them always sticking to what makes sense in-universe
@@imlewishehe I know what you mean. However Halopedia states that the Drones in light blue in ODST are Majors. And the silver ones in ODST are Ultras. And since they use the exact design from Halo 3 and ODST I’m assuming they’re designed to look like a Major and Ultra

Mega is already doing the drop pods with the main H3 ODST characters, so I doubt they'd also do a larger pack

There's a surprising amount of drone armor colors in ODST. I think the blue is just a different color of minor, or a captain but not a major or something. It gets muddy like the brute ranks.

I think Dare has spartan torso and maybe that's why it fits better.

A recon ODST would have been cool, but adding all the variants of the standard helmet was a nice touch. Also, the female and male Spartan torsos don't fit with this ODST armor either

Nobody realizes unless you look at it that they changed the hips on the old spartan females. In the old gungoose set with the red spartan, the hips are wider at the bottome of the piece.

I checked 3 Walmarts in my area, 2 of which I found tags for this and a few other smaller sets, but nothing was on shelf sadly. Hopefully they are just delayed for shipping or something. I'm really looking forward to this wave of sets

I have the odst hive exterminators pack, odsts squad ambush, some drop pods. are there any other good ODST troop packs?
I believe that the reason for why the chestplate can’t fit on the female torso is because the Buck/chestplate with attachment wasn’t updated with the indents for the chest inside. I wouldn’t know this since I don’t have these figures on hand, but it’s a possibility since the normal chestplace has these indents.
I usually switch these torsos like you do, but I would prefer if they created a different chestplate that can fit and look like it’s built for the female torso. Maybe it can have some modifications to make these figures easily identified.
Even the plain one wasn't updated, as seen on Dare and Lang.
@@DemarcationMedia I'm pretty sure it was. I have a dare figure and it's chestplate still fits on the female marine torsos. I could be wrong but I don't have the figure in-hand at the moment.
Edit: I was wrong, however I’m now unsure of what causes the chestplate not fitting.
I have this it’s actually pretty good. They never carry like a full lawn ODST squad pack except for the ambush and the ODST trooper pack doesn’t count that much only comes with two Dutch and a regular odst I customize them, make them a little more detailed
Yeah this is the biggest ODST squad we've gotten in one set
This is the ONLY figure set i bought, that i only got sealed and in fair price from ebay, because it is the only Halo3 related that came out kinda in the period i found out about the Mega halos :S (i love it but i did give the green odst and blue drone to my only Halo fan friend, altho he doesnt collect, will appreciate it)
I think I just found my favorite set, and not gonna lie, I really miss the snow ODST figure, but this set could make up for me. Getting Tarkov in this set is a really nice touch, as well as having the Reach-era Covenant Drones. I’m curious about which ODST you would pick if you’re to have them as a mascot figure for representing the Helljumpers, I would definitely pick the green Demo man, though he’s gonna get the MA5D assault rifle from Halo 5, or the MA40 from Infinite, and a Halo CE Magnum, just not the Mk. 50 Sidekick.
For other figures, it’s really cool to see them all representing their roles uniquely with their issued equipment for their skill set, as well as having different gender and race diversity among members, just like Emile being a different descent in Noble Team, which is pretty realistic, considering that most squads will obviously not have only Americans but of course there’s other nationalities involved. Tarkov having extra prints like the blood type on his shoulder pad is a nice touch, it should be mandatory for all ODSTs to be having different blood types just so it’ll create a unique immersion in diorama builds. The dark bluish purple guy looks cool, though I really wished that they have more weapons which would be nice to have, just so they’re more armed than how they’re equipped with.
I do agree with you regarding Mega’s choice for the white ODST having a female torso for our medic, which is incompatible with the current ODST chest armor, chances of the said armor breaking for us collectors is pretty high, just by seeing it bow outwards and not conforming, and I wouldn’t want that to happen to everyone else. Maybe they shouldn’t stop giving us a female torso, but make a new mold of the ODST chest armor being compatible with a female torso just to solve this issue. As well as the thigh armor being a little constricting, it’s best to have it rounded off more for mobility wise.

@@DemarcationMedia Same here, but hey, I understand their doing in terms of facts that not all military and special forces units have just men only, there’s also girls. Would be interesting to see how Mega does this, and they should bring back the ODST armor customizer package again, really wanted to see more armor parts being used for each ODST, as well as introducing parts that’s mostly unheard of for ODST minifigures to have, like what the medic has, by using a TACPAD arm from a Reach figure as her main equipment.

Here's the good news: This set and the Red Team Hog is part of Walmart's reintroduction of Mega. Most Walmarts removed Mega from the shelves but they're adding it back thanks to these new sets. So keep your eyes peeled. This set came from CA actually

I want to get this set and the 20th anniversary set so that I can put the helmet from the medic on Mickey because this is the perfect helmet for him. Mickey sometimes has a red stripe and sometimes has a white stripe. I personally like the white stripe more and the color of Mickeys armor and the armor of these odst are very similar if they aren’t the same

Does the instructions manual have a number for the Drone mini legs? I have one custom H3 ODST Drone Ultra with a missing mini leg and would love to get an extra to paint and complete it
Mega doesn't put numbers for specific figure parts--the entire figure has a number

Friggin’ sweet. Did any of these guys have loose shoulders, loose feet or too much plastic on the hands? I’ve had those problems with pre-packaged figures before, so I’m very on the fence about buying this set.

One con with the suppressed SMG is the suppressor on the tip of the tip of the gun like to come off and in my case it broke off the tip of the SMG

The Arbiter's Quest and Gungoose are pretty easy to get online now--Target has Gungooses sometimes. This set is a Walmart only thing though

Loved odst so much that as soon as I saw this I got myself 2 lol. Loving the channel and pls mega fix the medic pls, females are good but that armor isn’t.
A new ODST chestplate that fits the female torso would be great

Actual set boxes are much easier to keep--these figure pack boxes are actually impossible to keep nice

I find that the spartan female torso fits better. Idk what it is.
It might be slightly more slim. Neither work well but the spartan one does seem to be a little better
O and also,not a huge fan of the diferent colors on the legs and forearms, but at least i can use those on the original Alpha 9 figures
It gives some different texture to the armor
So I went to Walmart and saw the red team warthog and this set but I got the warthog even though it costed $34 and lost all my money because I had exactly $34 and bought it over this set that was $20

I think having the medic a female wouldve been fine. If they made a new mold for the odst chestplate with the proper shaping for the female torso. They do it for spartans and marines, why not odst?
