Gendron plays this gigue in 16:52 with so superb ellegance like I never listened in my entire life. And, when he repeats first bar, he plays "piano". He sings all the notes with absolute balance and elegance. It is stunning.
La meilleure version de la n°2 de tout les temps, écoutez cette merveille...The best version of the n ° 2 of all time, listen to this wonder ...Die beste Version der Nr. 2 aller Zeiten, hört euch dieses Wunder an ...La mejor versión del n ° 2 de todos los tiempos, escucha esta maravilla ...
I studied with Gendron for a year (1970-1971) at the Conservatoire in Paris, and I have found his bowings in the Bach Suites to be a useful point of departure for the working out of my own solutions in these compositions.
@@omarandcarrie I fully agree with you. His bowings in Bach are at once faithful to detailed Baroque articulation, and to the capacities of today's instruments and bows.

My cello teacher also studied with him. His bowings are useful.

You've expressed it exactly right!
