A lot of these guys played in a different local band in Birmingham, and used to open for my old band SVDM all the time, and I never understood why. They (obviously) always had something creative and special. We just spammed Breakdowns. Glad to see they're on their way.
Honestly the clean vocalist fascinates me. Unusually high tenor, he busts out alto Fs like nobody's business! What an awesome fucking band, every element comes together perfectly.
The cleans are actually barely edited from what I've seen. Saw them live with For All I Am, hit every note. I didn't even know who they were at that point, and they amazed me. Great show.
i've always heard a little Misery Signals in your material. its what drew me in in the first place. the way everything is put together is so impressive. best material so far guys, the album is going to be biblical.
9 years later but just wanted to add for anyone reading, Misery Signals is one of Alan’s greatest inspirations, and he was the one who wrote a lot of the key parts of this album.
@@MrPatrickbuit Not just Alan, but the whole band. Jesse has even said that they "wanted a band that sounded like Misery Signals" in one interview or another. Some of the original members aren't there anymore, but ERRA is still a team.
@@microsoftpain Erra shed all their Missigs inspirations after Alan left (and they’ve been producing consistently worse music ever since.) I doubt that’s a coincidence, especially when you consider that Alan still produces Missigs inspired music to this day.
@@microsoftpain Also the reason I said Alan is because he did a Reddit AMA a few years ago where he said his biggest inspirations are Missigs and Hopesfall.
I felt the same way when i first started listening to these guys about a month ago, but i loved their guitar work soo much that i tuned out the clean vocals for a little while, then they grew on me, now they dont bother me anymore, this band has some immense fucking talent!
Nah, I played an F on an instrument and the pitch matched. Perfect pitch is a rare and special thing that it's safe to say I don't have! The best I can do is just pitch things relative to an external source like a piano or tuner, which most musicians can do. I forget if he actually hits any of dem Fs in this song but he definitely does in White Noise and Heart.
God I love the way that riff at 0:40 kicks in
And then Garrison’s transitions at 1:30 and 2:30
Arguably my favourite track on Impulse
i see you everywhere on erra's videos !
@@lifeisbeautiful7361 Well they are easily one of my fav bands lol
@@MrPatrickbuit you've got the counterparts profile pic too, GOATed band taste 👍
back 10 years later to say this is one of the finest metal songs ever written, period. just listen to that fucking intro
Erra rules 🤟🤟
still getting goosebumps from this. i love erra
the real ERRA
This album is timeless.
Me too chilling the fuck out between our crazy work from home
Ive never been so absolutely captivated by any album before, Like time itself stood on her knees so i could replay this an infinite number of times.
Been going back to it always for ten years it’s a masterpiece
2:30 Garrison's high to low transition has the capability of shattering planets.
LMAO honestly a beautiful description
Turnover is sick

Honestly the clean vocalist fascinates me. Unusually high tenor, he busts out alto Fs like nobody's business! What an awesome fucking band, every element comes together perfectly.

Whole album is such a whole new experience to me.

This song here is insane
It's already out on merchnow & itunes since november lol
I fucking love this bad you guys are bad ass
Jesse Cash, he plays guitar in the band as well.
Unreal.

I like this band I just can't handle the cleans.

This is Bama's potential in music more progressive bands need to come out of here.
Listen to Avoid Tidal, you'll love em! New material will be released soon!
this is what metalcore would sound like if AI took hold of it and perfected it , these guys are insane , im ashamed at how late I found out about them
@TheHagish Elitist and Forever Orion have Julian Rodriguez as guitarist, Erra doesn't haha they are quite similar though imo both amazing :D
This is some good shit.
No... this whole album seems to have really really good cleans. :)
ERRA needs to get the fucking album cover on a shirt. i already have the other 7 shirts :c but i want the COVER AARRRGGHH!

First Comment Great Shit guys ... LOVE it as always
-Julian from Elitist / Forever Orion
OMG that Heisenberg band ad made me laugh so fucking hard
those highs around 1:30
i think im through listening to high pitched clean vocals. periphery is the main reason why.....
@Feuyaer Thank you. I wasn't going to say anything.
I don't even like this subgenre.....Yet it's very good......0.O
Found it.
lern2genre.
if only erra and elitist/forever orion could make a collaboration
I didn't like the cleans either but after many times listening they grew on me.
@Hifcrea fuck yeah bro \m/
trollin'
(sigh) now i have to find tommoffat17's comment..
@tommoffat17 The infamous last words of every other hipster
