      Just back when you wrote this comment I picked up an 01 1200S in my favorite blue for just $2,000!!. Its my fourth bike and I've never even heard of them until i bought it lol. It came well preserved in almost stock form, but with the Dale Walker full headers and exhaust, stage 2 carb kit with K&Ns, timing advance and cooling fan. For sure it is easily the most fun Ive ever had and i can't wait to ride it every day. I drooled over KLR650 for a decade and i was bored in a few months but i put 4,000 miles on the Bandit in 3 months and riding is physically painful for me, so that will tell you how much fun they are, its amazing. You will find a well preserved example, after this video i think i might also want a 1250 eventually hahaha

    I've owned 2 Mk2 1200s and currently have a 1250, but those Mk1 Bandits still speak to me loudest.
    BTW, the 1250 is even easier to get 125hp from than the old carbed engines, but because of the massive low end and midrange it misses out on the big top end rush. Those oil cookers are fun.

      @triumphrider9796 Před 3 lety

      There have been more and more of them popping up here in suburbs; being a DC native (and former courier) I'm a veteran of traffic circle driving, and it can be pretty bad at times. Traffic entering the circle is supposed to yield to traffic in the circle (I've heard it goes the other way in NJ, not sure if that's true), doesn't always happen. Best example I've seen of what a clusterf--- it can be is Washington Circle; if you're heading south on 23rd St and want to continue that way to the Lincoln Memorial, they have the lights timed so that when you get a green and start around the circle, you come to the PA Ave entrance to the circle just after THEY get a green light. That traffic is supposed to yield, frequently doesn't. Then you have the folks on the inside who decide to exit in front of you when you planned on going around to the next exit point...I've had to make an extra trip around a circle a number of times to avoid idiots doing things like that (or the guy who ignored the "MUST TURN RIGHT" lane he was in and started around Westmoreland Circle just as I was making the left/right transition to exit to the lane beside the one he was supposed to stay in, he went by less than two feet in front of me as I was on the brakes). And you're welcome, as always. Gotta love that TX flag emblem on the D&D pipe!

    • @TimKreitzAdventures
      @TimKreitzAdventures  Před 3 lety

      I have one of those D&D pipes on my ZRX. If you look closely at Rodger's, the flag colors are upside down (red on top instead of white). Those logo badges were errors and quite the conversation piece if you have one.

    Great video! I just rode through Tradewinds Blvd yesterday and I love riding to that memorial! I moved down here from Connecticut to Midland in June. The weather was HOTT then. I rode all year in Connecticut so "cold"riding down here hasn't been that bad for me. I started motovlogging at the begging of March. I have some videos in CT and now some videos from down here. I really do love it down here. I do miss the twisties, mountains, cities and the water all being close, but I am enjoying it here. If you're free and would like to meet up and go for a ride, record some video that'd be fun! Either comment here or you can DM me on my facebook or instagram. The links are on my CZcams channel. I am always looking for new places to ride to and meeting fellow motovloggers, especially local motovloggers. Once again great video, ride safe 🤙🏻

      Sure, hit me up on FB and I'll keep you posted on rides. There's also an FB group called Permian Basin Sport Bikes where we organize get-togethers and events. It's sportbike-centric, but all bikes and riders are welcome:
