I think, compared to the percentage of 6th round picks working out in league history, that Wilson is exponentially better than losing a 6th. Stidham is a practice squad QB.
Only something like 10-15% of 6th and 7th draft picks actually make an NFL team their first year or two. That's why the average career of an NFL player is only 3 years. They may make a practice squad, but not the 52-man roster. 6th and 7th round picks are the true lottery ticket players in the draft. Most time you don't win, but when you do win, it's a big win a far as value goes.

If Perna was the GM, every decision would be made based on emotions.
Most fans and especially sports talking head make decisions based on their emotions. That is how talking heads make $$$, with feelings.

Perna is a casual fan who does a little more research than the usual casual fan. He usually is funny is the difference, but not in this video. His Zach Wilson takes are just silly, but not in a funny way.

If the Broncos don't draft Nix or Penix, then I assume they are tanking this season, so they can get Shedeur Sanders next year.
Don't mean to be negative, but it doesn't look like there is a " good bet " franchise QB within reach for Denver this year. They ought to just get the best player available for this team, which is obviously in a rebuild situation. Maybe hope that a talented qb such as Joe Milton is available in a late round and gamble then and not early on when you might be handed another Pat Surtain.

JJ McCarthy at no 5 isn't too outlandish that's the chargers pick and that's really best case for him: Back with Jim Harbaugh, get to sit behind Justin Herbert and slowly develop as a pro QB.
That logic would be fine if Herbert was old, but Herbert still has a good 10 years in the league most likely. Would make no sense for them to take a qb

I actually don't think the Broncos. Are going to draft a quarterback this year. Because how much dead cap they have I'm paying Russell Wilson the play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. And the Jets are going to pay almost all of Zach Wilson salary this year. If Zach Wilson doesn't play well or doesn't get along with Sean Payton. Or if it looks like Zach Wilson's playing good and Sean Payton and likes him they made the Broncos may have found their quarterback for cheap.
Now you know why you and Perna aren't GM's.....
