I feel like Neuraling a Ghost and EMPing his own ghosts is the missing piece to this strategy.
Yeah I kept being baffled that never entered thermy's mind. The ghosts were so clumped up.
@@omnimoeishYou forget how intense SC2 feels while playing. It’s easier said than done to even do basic unit counters mid game, let alone try to do something as niche as having ghosts EMP themselves lol

And its not a niche strategy. Clump'd up ghost + neuro and self emp? If you're a high mmr player and you don't see that, you must've gotten yourself up there through cheese alone.
If you're planning to put neuro as part of your strategy, all niche strategy is on the table. Minus stealing a probe or SCV and forcing a CC or nexus
@@ElemXCR I have literally never seen that maneuver pulled in any high level game but go off I guess… and even if it was, it’s really not that weird for something so specific to slip the mind in a game of SC2
After that nuke, I was thinking if he nueraled a ghost and launched a nuke that'd be pretty epic

Hey uThermal, A fun larval injection trick I use.
If you select all your queens on a hotkey you can click that, select the larval injection ability, then using shift click you can actually click the green square of each hatchery on your minimap and it will properly send a queen to inject each one (or queue up otherwise) as if you were clicking them. Great way to rapidly do injections without nearly as much panning.
Nice trick....I am gonna try it....might be a little faster. But with this method you can not control which queen going to inject . And for ex if you missed some injects and got more energy. All your energy gonna be spend on on hatch, and that is never what you want to do. As it delays larva production.

39:00 Am I the only one who thought it might be a crazy idea to drop a drone into the old main of the opponent and then build a bunch of spines on the high ground?
I spent half the last game wondering why no drop infesters right on top of the high ground tanks and neural.

I wish you had expanded to the left earlier- those were 3 bases that could have sustained you and offerred a path to attack, especially after the ovie drops cleared out his main

rules should state that the only ZERG units you can build are ling infestor, but neuraling other races to build their stuff should be allowed.

what a sick game! i think you couldve won that last fight if you focused a bit more on retaking the units after first neural ran out. one lib got free and started killing all other infestor that were neuraling.

There should be an amendment to the rule.
IF facing a terran that can simply lifodd and settle another place, at the very least mass queesn should be allowed,.
In this game where clearly the vast majority of the game was done by ling infestors, when the guy figured it out and transitioned to air in late game, the rules should allow to simply go with the queens as well.
Because neigher lings nor infestors can handle mass air, or nomadic terran getting away.
You literally see his buildings just floating until his army gets back and then he simply lands them in their position safely.

yeah, this should be allowed but only once he reaches the high level high mmr opponents like this game. having a lot of queens was what he needed for the anti air.

nah that "offensive GG" was self-deprecating. He finally managed to set up a defense on one base after barely holding it together against a meme build. Dude knew what was up and is just a funny guy.

When you mine rocks or gas and the worker has minerals you can press C to return cargo. It's a good habit to get into.
36:10 I just had a thought.... Does contaminate from the overseer stop a PF from shooting?
I tried all that in wol, it only affects production and research, and has no effect on pylons, turrets, cannon, etc.
Blinding cloud works on PF, not sure about static D, but I think it does.
If you had not attacked the mined-out base, splitting your army, or if you had split the defending Infestors, or if you had re-sieged the Libs the first time you Neural'd them, I think you would have won. Or, if you'd made a few Vipers. Yanking Tanks/Libs and Nueraling them would be pretty sick. But it was a fun strat.
You should do a triple nydus series to GM or something like that. It would be epic to see some weird plays with mass nydus worm.

Forgetting the gas in the main is so classic!
With burrow, you gotta use a ling to block the command center when you force it to lift. That's one of Zerg's most annoying moves against Terran! You can see top Zerg players do that 100% of the time.

You need like... a third endgame only unit for when you get past 20 min in a game. The infestors are nice, but they fall off when tough stuff shows up and the game drags on. Maybe ultralisk??? It'd still be a challenge if you can't use them until late game.
Put corruptors in if the opponent is doing air spam and flying buildings around.
I'm surprised no one has gotten a critical mass of banshees and fly them around with a few Ravens.
I thought that "gg?" was more like "are you out of steam?" rather than an offensive gg.

You're such a beast. If you could manage control groups properly you would destroy all top players
I think you could have won the last game if you focused more on opening the map and controlling it. Your creep spread stopped after early game and you neglected the left side bases for nearly all game. You never mined out the natural path, which got all your units blocked in in the last moments, and lots of your side was uncreeped, slowing your queens.
I really like the long games.
Playing against this has to be So frustrating!
I realize this breaks the strict rules of "Ling/Infestor to GM", but I'd love to see a Ravager bust transitioning into Ling/Infestor if it fails. Infestors can be very efficient, so they can scrape back into it after a failed bust. Maybe as just a game, not part of the challenge, you could try?
If a unit is efficient, why not do it from a neutral or winning position instead of a losing one?

Question: Why Zerg is not closing the base with buildings like spines or spores?
- to open the "Door" just unburrow.. And you should always use 2 buildings like spore and spine, so you can unburrow (open the door) one, while the second is still burrowing (closing the door), to open a door immediately.
So in my opinion, only Protos has no closeable doors.
Because its better to have many hatcheries and spread creep as much as possible not to turtle
Burrow time takes forever. You can also just wall off with a queen.

14:30 overlord speed is way underutilized at the pro level. don't tell me 8 lings is worth the permanent scouting advantage & ovie safety of overlord speed
Vipers maybe? Could add some extra power and flexibility for that late-game, while still arguably being on-theme.
The liberators looked very dominant in this game, which is why I suggest.

Has anyone tried using a burrowed Infestor to Neural an enemy zerg Larva, then morph them into a Mutalisk or something?
I didn't think you could neural an enemy larva. Maybe though? Whose tech does it use to determine what you can morph into?

That last game would have been a perfect candidate for hijacking an SCV to make terran units. This challenge should allow units of other races if you can hijack one of their workers
