  • The 'Trinnacle' is a remote and highly exposed rock formation in the Peak District near the town of Oldham at around 900ft in altitude.
The rocks of the Trinnacle are approximately 30ft in height and can only be reached by a strenuous 2-3 hour return hike, which should only be undertaken if well-prepared for all conditions.
The rock formation itself is a dangerous scramble and climb in all conditions and comes with a risk of serious injury in a remote location with no visitor facilities or immediate access to emergency services.
Climbing the rocks is not advised.
Please be aware that an emergency response at the Trinnacle may require a number of different services, including Mountain Rescue volunteers, and will take much longer than normal. Remember this could impact not only your own party, but also those involved in any required rescue or extraction from the site.
