    Hi Peter!
How do you apply labels to Azure Blob and Azure SQL?
Is there a manual way to do this or you need to do it through an information protection policy?
Would have been neat do apply labels using the Purview Data Explorer but that doesn't seem to be an option.

When defining the scope for the label, you need to select Schematised Data Assets. Doing so will enable auto labelling for you later in the label creation.
It's not something I've yet tried myself as I don't have any SQL or Blob content to work with, but this Learn article below would be my starting point.
      learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/purview/create-sensitivity-label#define-autolabeling-rules-for-database-columns
I may have to figure out how to try this and share as part of my upcoming Purview video series.

@Peter can you make an introuduction on Microsoft Purview and Security labels for a newbie like me? Another thing do you know anyting about Microsoft Azure Key Valt, a fellow developer told me that I should store my sensitive data, like connection string there

My MS-102 exam guide video playlist series has a video on Sensitivity labels. Azure Key Vault is not something I know much about. I'm more of an M365 guy than an Azure guy.

Is the default label also a feature for M365 E3 users?

Is there a way to see why an auto-labelling policy has classified information based on an SIT? E.g., the specific data that has matched against an SIT (CC number, medical terms and conditions etc.)

I'm not aware of any way to see exactly why the label has been auto applied. Activity explorer records label activity though as per this article. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/data-classification-activity-explorer-available-events
