Resting on the California-Nevada border, Lake Tahoe has long been a favorite vacation spot. Visitors are drawn here by the steep granite cliff sides and towering mountaintops, as well as the crystal-clear waters that have earned Lake Tahoe the reputation of being one of the most beautiful bodies of water in the United States. Lake Tahoe is truly one of the most beautiful natural wonders of the world. Mark Twain, during his visit to the territory in the late 1860’s once said: “it is the most attractive picture the Earth has to offer.”
