Our day begins with a leisurely exploration of the ship's decks, soaking in the panoramic views of the boundless ocean.
Venturing into the realm of spirits, we embark on a delightful journey through the world of the Queens gins. After a few drinks, we enjoy a sumptuous lunch at the iconic Golden Lion Pub. We then make our way to the tranquil oasis of the spa for a short time. Feeling refreshed and revitalized, we prepare for an evening of unparalleled elegance.
As the sun sets, we don our finest attire and make our way to the Royal Court Theatre, welcomed by gracious bellboys, we are ushered to our seats in the lounge, where we are served petit fours. Just before the start of the show, we are taken to our private box where champagne awaits! Following the production, we step into the realm of gastronomic delight at The Verandah, an exquisite specialty restaurant. Amidst an atmosphere of opulence and sophistication, we indulge in a feast , this restaurant is certainly worth the upcharge.
We hope you've enjoyed spending gala night with us on Queen Victoria. Many as is Cunard posh or too formal, we don't think so as we enjoy to dress in our tuxedoes, but we completely understand not everyone wants to dress up on their cruises.
Evenings on board a Cunard Queen exude a sense of occasion, but they’re also as relaxed as you want them to be. There’s no need to dress to the nines each night if you don’t want to, and you’ll find many areas on board where casual dress is welcome.

I think that's one of the things I like most about cruise ships. You can spend your ship days doing whatever you fancy, always something going on somewhere if you want to get involved. But if you just want to chill there's usually a bar you can people watch. That batter sounded wonderfully crisp too, nothing worse for your appetite than soggy fish.

We went on our first cruise last may 23 to the fjords for my 60th birthday the first vlogs we found were yours we have been massive fans ever since you both make a dull day bright going to rotterdam in March and canarys for xmas 2024 we have got the bug which I feel was helped by your funny videos I literally watch them as soon as you post them thank you both for the entertainment 😂😂

My wife and I met you on the Victoria back in your LKGP days. We look forward to all your vlogs. No matter how stressed we both are with life, your vlogs make us laugh and wipes out all the hassle from the previous week. Many cruise vloggers dislike the dressing up that cruising offers but you two embrace it and really appreciate the food offered. Been on 11 ships since the late 90s and Queen Victoria is our absolute favourite. Great to catch a glimpse of Alvin serving at the pool bar (just the nicest guy we’ve ever been served by). Really nice/ fun vlog as always.

Yeah, think we’d like to try that next time! It was a beef suet pudding 🤤 It’s a small deep filled pie really, made with suet pastry which is normally then normally steamed or boiled. 😋
I took a cruise in October Luke and I missed not having housework to do! It sounds strange but I get great satisfaction from making a jobs to do list and crossing jobs off once I've done them. I also missed my kitchen and being able to cook the food I wanted to eat! 😂.. What am I like?! X

So the Theatre event is that a special for this cruise or this Queen?? I have never seen a blogger review it and it looked POSH as well as fun Lukie you should have taken one for the team Cheese Tray a definite must but would have loved to have eaten the strawberry pavlova of course if you had it I would not have had the calories or the guilt 😂😂
It’s available on Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth on their production show nights, think quite a few people don’t realise it’s available but they do advertise it in the daily magazine. It is a talk or comedian they don’t offer it and the boxes are then just available on a first come first serve basis!

Hi! Do you have to book the box theatre/drinks in advance of sailing or on board?
This is booked onboard, do it asap to make sure you get a reservation but they are bookable up until the afternoon of the show if you wish. We popped to guest services on the first day to make sure we had it booked (thought as it was Gala night, that one would likely sell quickly)

Glad you enjoyed! With Cunard they add a 15% service charge to their bar items etc, this is on top of the menu price.
If you have the drinks package like we did, this is all included. The per drink limit of the package is for the menu price not the price with service charge.
Do yo do all your filming at 6:00 in the morning or midnight? The ship looks so empty. The last cruise I took, it was almost impossible to walk there were so many people everywhere. Even when you say it is crowded, it looks just normal...
No, we’re fast asleep that time of the morning 🤣 This cruise never felt crowded- even when you went to a venue and the seats were all taken up, it still never felt rammed.
Hello Monkeys! QUESTION(s): While dining in the Britannia on Cunard, do you have an assigned table? If not, can you request one? Or can you at least request to be seated with servers you enjoyed already?
Hi! Cunard now operate a freedom and a club/set dining. So we chose the freedom, this is a turn up when you want between 18:00 and 21:00 - you could ask for a specific section and they would try and cater for you, you may need to wait etc. you can also ‘book’ times on the app, so if you eat the same time each night we’re sure they could accommodate that - it would be worth asking the restaurant manager. Cunard also still operate set dining, an early at 18:00 and late at 20:00 - this means you have the same table each night.
As we said, we chose freedom but in our experience if you can’t choose and are assigned something you don’t like, head to the restaurant on boarding day afternoon and they’ll try and accommodate changes, so either a change in time, table size or to/from freedom style.

We booked it as soon as we boarded, head to the reception / guest services and they’ll let you know availability and be able to book

Hi guys I've got to be honest but cunard looks incredibly boring to me but glad you enjoyed it.
There really is a cruise line for everyone and every mood. Believe you me there are times we wouldn’t book the likes of Cunard because of how sedate and sophisticated they can be, but then again, there are times there’s nothing we’d want more. It’s one of the reasons we don’t like booking too far in advance because you don’t know how you’ll feel at the time. Having said that, we wanted Cunard for this festive experience and it was 100% fab 👌🏻 everything we wanted on this occasion 💥

It’s blood sausage - traditional British breakfast accompaniment! Tastes nicer than it sounds
