You Guys in the US are going down that spiralling path we did here in Australia. All the nice shiny things to take camping and at the end of the day the novelty wears off as a lot of product are very complicated or time consuming to setup not to mention finding space in your vehicles and trailers to put all this gear. Safety and practicality should take precedence 👍
Don’t forget simplicity. All these industries makes camping (and over landing) just more complicated and not to mention expensive.
We got that defiance multi tool a couple years ago and it really is great.
Defiance tools look amazing!
The ‘step/fire pit’ is hilarious. I guess it would be ok for some people but I just see it and say wtf why!?!
Because it’s awesome!!!😂😂😂😂
It’s definitely not for everyone. But for us getting in and out of the camper always required a step, that would take up room in the camper, then propane firepits are the only fire you are allowed most of the dry season in the NW. Combining them both saves space and it absolutely works as advertised 😉
I love the product to lift a roof top tent onto my vehicle. An in garage solution is great however, if your garage door opening isn’t tall enough to drive out with your roof tent installed it doesn’t necessarily help those individuals in that situation. I would prefer a solution I can do in my driveway that can be assembled and used to raise and lower my tent.
Lots of stuff for sure. There wasn't anything that I need or would replace the gear that I have used for hunting and camping for over four decades. But there is a buyer out there that thinks this stuff is necessary to get out and have fun.
You don't want those 3 pieces of sheet metal you can jigsaw into a little stove for $180? Instead of using your $40 coleman stove that has worked fine for 20 years? 😅
It was good to see you at the show. Keep working hard but remember to take a break. lol
Thank you, I try, sitting on my couch with cracked lips!!!
@AdventureBuilt haha I know the feeling. I left Sunday at noon and I was going to stay til 3pm but I was burned out and burnt.
You guys are awesome. Always love chatting with y’all.
Absolutely!!!! Can’t wait to do it again!!!!
bro you look like the pro poker player Daniel Negreanu.
So why buy from defiance tools when I can get the same item same brand name for half the price on Amazon?
I don't know about anyone else, but if I back my Jeep into the garage and put on my rooftop tent, I can't get out of my garage door. The standard garage door on a hpuse is not high enough.
That is true of cab height bed racks and canopies. I had the same problem in my house. The lower bed racks and taller garages are mainly what the hoist is all about. I used to remove my tent by hand and wheel it in on a rolling bench then hoist it up to the ceiling.
This is a common problem, we hear about it all the time. That's why we prototyped a free standing hoist system
I absolutely hate scheduled release videos. I ignore the upcoming post, never watch it live, so then when the video is released I’ve already seen the preview twice and therefore overlook it and end up never watching it.
So you did watch the video or just commenting that you did not watch the video? Because, there were some good interviews in there.
@@AdventureBuilt nope. I would’ve watched it and skipped through to the good parts but It got lost in my feed because I ignored it the first time because it was a preview and then ignored the second time because it was live.
Was my comment removed for some reason?
Nope I never delete comments. Unless they really piss me off which hasn’t happened today 😎😎😎😎😎
That RTT hoist is a 100% ripoff copy of the existing Fredlin Hoist that’s been around for over a decade!
I don’t believe that the guy thought up the worm & wheel design without seeing the Fredlin design first!
A worm drive isn't new, been around forever. Not like it's a new thing
We have never seen or heard of Fredlin hoist, likely because we are in different countries on the other side of the globe. Thanks for the reference though, looks like they have a great design. The concept of using a worm gear winch and pulleys is the same sure, but a 100% ripoff copy? Ouch
Lots of cool, unnecessary, overly expensive, gear.
Fair enough!
