  • This video covers the ENTIRE INSTALLATION process of a new BMW OEM Valve Cover Gasket along with new PCV Valve in a step by step guide. I walk through dismantling the necessary parts and the cleaning required to install the new ones. I also discuss points where it’s good to do some basic maintenance such as changing the air filter, spark plugs, and vacuum lines. You can also do a minor boost leak test while you have some of the equipment apart if you’re worried about a leak. There are many steps for beginners.
If your cabin smells like oil or sort of soot, burning smell sometimes, it can be the leaking VCG. Also, floor leaks can be the VCG, but typically they’re small and caught by the plastic cover. If you have oil in your spark plug sockets (this is bad and needs to be caught fast), it can be VCG. If you are getting VANOS codes sometimes, it can be VCG. If there is soot build up that looks like oily dirt near the VCG, it probably needs to be replaced. If your car is over 80,000 miles, it probably needs to be replaced.
I also have dozens of videos that will be uploaded soon! Many of the videos have very unique mods for my 335i build that will let you up your E90/E92/E93's performance and looks.
