This is terrifying, unlike normal horror games...
You don't know what's Infront of you, WHO is Infront of you.
It feels uneasy to know something is there, someone is there.
This game uses a principle called "Ray tracing" basically it's a vector between two points, by having what we call a mesh collider , which will serves as a "barrier" for that vector , you can actually paint a color or texture on the spot where the vector collides on the 3D model. By using noises generation you can select random points from the aperture of your gun to a narrow or more wide area.
There you go Jack , that's how you do that kind of stuff ! That game is pretty neat and i'll be glad to see more of this.

game has an vr mode now. Certainly one of the most amazing visual experiences you can have in VR.
One of these unknown pearls no best-of-vr lists ever mentions between the beat saber and super hot vr wanking. Not that they are bad, but they are hardly a secret. Also Scanner Sombre is not as ludicrously overpriced as other vr games.

I was just guessing you may be right but I remember hearing that higher frequency color waves are your reds orange and yellows (faster oscillation of the wave equaling more kinetic energy or movement in the wave) and the lower intensities are your blues... Greens... Darker shades with less intensity of wavelength. At least I think.

Listening to the ambient sounds in the area that Jack ended the episode; it sounds like people wailing in the distance. There is something unsettling about it and the whole game aesthetic. I love this game! Its so unique! If this explores more horror themes I will be blown away.

Jack, it’s like playing finding the items, where it’s far away from you, you getting colder (blue) but if the item is near you or close to you, your getting warmer (Red)

These are honestly very good games Jack. I have played them myself and had a blast. The Unfinished Swan also revolves around the same concept as this game except painting white instead of black.
arguably the most amazing (also) VR game nobody ever talks about. The limited gameplay is more than made up for by the experience in VR.

At the beginning while explaining the premise, I imagined it was going to be a game where you actually built the environment in dots, but you just probably wouldn't be able to touch anything. I'd love such a game, but maybe where you scan objects in the real world, and then enter a Black abyss that you place scanned objects into as dots; like photoshop in 3D, or Minecraft.

Everything in this game is technically possible. Real life implementation would be very much like how it is in the game. A person would walk around a room with a laser scanner. The way a laser scanner works is by shooting out multiple lasers. When the lasers hit an object, they bounce back to the scanner and the scanner records how long it took for the laser to get back. That is how a laser scanner can detect objects. This is similar to how a police officer's laser gun works except the gun measures changes in distances to calculate speed.
Anyways, in real life, the laser scanner would send the data to an app inside the headset which would take note of the location of the scanned data and display it on the headset. As the person moves around the environment, the app inside the headset would take care of what to display and where. It's not a such a difficult concept. The main problem is that the equipment and access to accurate location tracking would be very expensive, but if you had a laser scanner, you could make this app work inside your recording room easily using the VR equipment you already have set up.
Different kinds of lasers would be a bit tricky since the laser scanner would actually have to support that, so that is a hardware issue. The map view though would be very easy to implement. Once the app has the data from the scanner and takes note of the location of that data, map view would be extremely simple to implement.
All in all, this would be an interesting and 100% doable idea for a crowdfunding project.

but like police radar guns it would be hard to get accurate police radar guns need to be tuned and also have a proper angle of deflection to be accurate so if your scanning and moving it would mess up the distance measureing
