  • Two awesome members of the 1L class (and former viewers of this channel!) graciously took time out of their busy (crushing?) schedules to sit down and chat with me about their law school experiences. In this video, we cover some of the worst and best parts of the first year in law school, from doctrinal classes to making friends to Legally Blonde.

lemon WE ALL have color. Person of color is an offensive term invented to exclude and segregate European Americans from all other groups. Don't be bigoted.

"It's so important to take up space in the classroom. Especially people who feel they don't belong in law school, because maybe we're the people who need to be in law school." I loved that. Kevin is seems so intelligent and he explains things very well. I'm currently applying to law school as someone with a similar background and I really appreciated his insight. Great advice from you all, thank you!

Regina Y. Favors I’m turning 29 at the end of the year, and I am only now getting the desire to attend law school. Like you, it has always been at the back of my mind and I’ve been fight it bc I have a passion for teaching and education. But damn it! my mind is telling me to apply to Howard 😓😭. So I’m going to do. I’ve been studying for the LSAT. On reddit, CZcams and other forums to get a better understanding/idea of what I’m really getting myself into.

    • @reginayfavors

@@mrksbrnd91 That's really encouraging to read. I don't know if I'm really afraid or if I just don't want to become a litigator. But there are issues I want to fight concerning chronic homelessness and issues in my field. I am an adjunct at a college and we need to be unionized. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that pursuing a law degree would definitely add to my knowledge base. I read contracts and annual reports for fun now. How strange is that? I pick up on the language quickly. As an English teacher, you know we critically think and analyze topics to death, so there's that. I will seriously reconsider it. Taking your instruction into consideration, study for the LSAT and continue viewing CZcams videos as I do now. I appreciate your response very much. Thank you!!!!

This is why west coast schools are just overall better places to study than the traditional east coast ones. They embrace the personal approach where critical thinking and logic trumps strict and overly formal outdated institutions. Its like the west coast realized that you can have fun and relax a little bit while still getting the same level of education.
