Thank you, Anna! When I finally felt well enough to decorate, I scoured my house to see what I could find without digging into my attic. I found a big bag of Christmas items from the Dollar Tree last year in my craft room. It had the bottle brush trees I used with red dishes in my china cabinet. Red dish set was gifted to me; they belonged to my son-in-law's grandmother. Several items were thrifted over the past several months. I do love Christmas and thrift Christmas items all year long ❤️ 🎄

My son in law Thomas and his mother saw the dishes on Christmas Day. That set of dishes belonged to Thomas's grandmother! Thomas's mother nearly cried to see that set displayed in my home ❤️

How did I miss this??!!... oh I was in crazy cleaning & prep mode myself. Haha. So beautiful Marla, love your Santa mug collection. The copper cookie cutters are much prettier then my aluminum ones that I have in a hoosier jar. Love, love the big Santa/Rudolph lit up sign. The trees are gorgeous with the doll houses & wagon. Love the stockings you made. Love your Jesus, Santa & Merry Christmas (my fave Christmas font) art. Your china cabinet is so pretty with the red transferware dishes. Love how you switch that all up. I appreciate the effort & don't know how you do it all. Decorating is so enjoyable then it takes me days to take it down & pack up (probably why I'm flaring now 🤦♀️). 😊🎄💕
I love "playing house" by switching up my decor, and it's what I do for my personal ME TIME. I only brought down 1 tub of decor from my attic this year, so packing it away was easier. I decorated with items that were left out of attic and thrifted over this past year. The Santa/Rudolph sign came from Cracker Barrel restaurant. I think they have an online store. The Jesus and Santa paintings are paint-by-number that I did myself. The Merry Christmas sign is a DIY printout. I posted a tutorial video about that. Your comments made me grin! Thank you for that! 😃 💕

Merry Christmas Marla! Thanks for always showing me a better way to display my "beloved clutter". It IS beautiful and doesn't have to be hidden! I love the cookie cutters in an old Jar! And the miscellaneous Christmas mugs on a tray! I always hated putting my collection in a cabinet not to be seen! And thanks for reminding me about Geese! When I take down my Christmas display at work/my office, I want to replace with a vintage vibe and the Wooden Geese I have are going to help start it all along with a very very old Ginger Jar. The santa plates on my mantle are Williams Sonoma Wedgwood, and I paid $4 each for them 2 months ago. I love them! 🎅

I have been looking for some Christmas dishes that I like that won’t break the bank. Lol I do have the friendly village dishes that will do but would like something different for Christmas. I was gifted those red transferware dishes in my china cabinet! That set belonged to my son-in-law's grandmother and had been in a barn for 10 years. None of their family wanted them, so my daughter got them for me when the barn was being cleared out. I had never seen any dishes like this set, and through searching online, I found they are made by Royal USA (no maker's mark on back of plates). This listing in blue gave me the most info:

If you're looking for a whole set of red and white transferware, I'd think your best deal will be found in an antique vendor mall. Thrift stores will likely be best deal of all, but you'd have to be patient to find a set in the wild like that. Ebay and Etsy would also have whole sets but will be priced higher and you'd have to pay shipping. Vendor malls have done the first step for you, locating the set, but you won't be paying shipping. The back of the plates say Mayfair (Williams-Sonoma) by WEDGWOOD. You probably could find some on eBay or Mercari if they're not currently in stock 😊

I have found wonderful vintage things in all of those stores!
