I just bought one the other day, the line that comes with it is the Echo string Cross Fire 0.95. I recently bought the Black Diamond 0.95. It does give a better cut, the PAS-225 is a great weed eater so far in my opinion. I know a lot of people say Stihl is the best, but this does give those weed eaters a run for it's money. For it to be a 21.2CC engine. it does a great job.

I plan on getting this trimmer, but the one with the pro series attachments. I'm replacing my Hyper Tough trimmer that fell off of the wall. I got that thing on sale for 60 bucks a couple years ago and it was a great trimmer. The only thing wrong with it was that it fell off of the wall. It was no fault of the trimmer, only the dumb owner. 🥴😑

I'll be returning another Husqvarna to Lowes. The first fouled a plug after 1 use and the second wouldn't idle. For this Echo engine size, it sounds like it packs a punch. I'm use to the easy wind heads, so I'm glad it already come with one. Thanks for video, I'll for sure make this a strong candidate.

Actually that's not quite true that every echo product comes with the same extras. When you buy any echo powerhead especially PAS systems that are sold without attachments you don't get any 2 cycle mix and just paperwork only. The current PAS in 2022 is the 2620 PAS which does not come with any attachments or is introduced in a combo package like the 225 which I believe at the time it was 225vp, 225b, 225sb and 225 SRM. The next upgrade PAS was the 266 that also came in the SRM which I have, my 225vp got a cracked head on the motor and is now just back up parts for both my 266 and 2620. Then there was the 280 PAS which couldn't run the curved shaft and a few other power attachments, I believe there was a 280 SRM. Currently both 266 and 280 have been discontinued by echo and replaced with the Xseries 2620t and 2620 PAS. There are no other PAS after that. They only other Xseries trimmers they have that run over 30CC engines are the 3020U and the 3020 which echo will likely not make a PAS from that engine model because it's to powerful for the older and current attachments which I believe there are 16 attachments. The gearboxes on these attachments are torqued for the 25.4 CC 2620 PAS and under. If they would decide to make a PAS out of the 3020 they'd likely have to make a whole new line of attachments that can handle the power and torque of that powerhead. I don't think echo in this current market will invest into doing this especially with governments trying to push this stupid green deal and most small engine companies are trying to over expensive and dangerous battery operated junk. I'll keep using gas equipment until I can no longer and then I'll likely buy a herd of goats to mow my yard.

Love it so far had a jungle backyard, took it out with no problems👌🏼 I was actually really suprised how easy it was to load the string, and if weeds ever got around the weed eater, I'd just give it some gas, and thatd all fly off!😱 it was great! Definitely makes you feel manly using one of these💪🏼

If NOT, please consider some goggles, that spool is traveling pretty fast, and any piece of rock, or debris will find itself right into an eye.... Cheap solutions, "Do not operate without eye protections... Thank you for posting. Will be picking one of these up this week... Cheers.

Taking cost out of the equation would you have preferred the 2620 version? I just discovered this model today at a big box store but wondered if the extra power on the 2620 model would be better for attachments. Just curious. This is is a nice clear video. Thank you.

Normal trimming, even thick tall grass, the 225 does great! Edging, it does a great job too, some thick stuff it has a small bit of bog but that’s expected. The 2620 would be a nice upgrade, but just not practical for me right now
