You should use lithium grease between the connection for the attachment

We periodically use spray lithium grease. Thanks for the info.

Not Robust is the what I believe you were searching for when describing the blower. I can see what you mean in commercial aspect with the everyday use and banging around during transit from site to site. Will be a short life for that little contraption. 🤣

Yup... and now that I've used it several times I can say more "robustly" that it is strictly for use by homeowners, not by commercial contractors. Awkward for me to use also, because it doesn't flex like the backpack blower's nozzle does. Certainly not worth the $70 I paid for it. Thanks for watching.

@@MowBeta how about the other two attachments, would you consider them sufficient for commercial use? If not, would they at least be a good start for commercial use?

The trimmer attachment has been as useful in commercial use as our standard (non-combo type) trimmers. I’ve found the edger attachment to be of limited use for us, however, partly because the blades wear down quickly and partly because we have no real use for it since we specialize in “tough jobs” where an edger serves no purpose. To be honest, I only use the this combo unit at home because the main problem is this: either one of the attachments tends to get misplaced and isn’t available when needed, or the main unit with the engine head is stored without an attachment or a cover on the shaft end, which makes it susceptible to having dust fly into the shaft opening. Easy solution is to attach a rubber cap to the shaft with a short chain, but that can get torn off in commercial use.

ECHO PAS-225 Powerhead is not designed for ECHO Straight Shaft Edger 99944200475. ECHO says this combination may overspeed the engine and may cause premature failures.

I just bought this combo directly from Echo. Comes with both the trimmer and the edger. Why would they combine these if the engine can't handle it?

Never mind, I ordered the PAS-225VP, it comes with the curved shaft edger, My bad. I haven't received it yet.
