I’m on run 4 of BG3 and have plans for many more. I haven’t been sucked into a game like this in forever. I think the only games that come close were Dark Souls 1 back on release and Persona 5/strikers. I’m obsessed with the world, lore, builds, story branches, etc. Like there’s 3 different boss fights against Balthazaar. Or if you play act 2 ‘right’ you can fight 6 bosses in a row during the finale.

I don't doubt that it great. Octopath 1 was incredibly good. But my ability to sit and read hours of dialogue has gotten so bad over the years. Even with the speed up feature, I was already snoozing after like 2 hours 😂😂

I had to push myself to keep going before I started to get the flashier skills and the meat of the story, but I ended up thinking it was one of the best games in awhile that I played. You just reminded me to check to see if Octopath is on sale in the Black Friday sale. Lol

Eh starfield was good in my opinion. The word mid needs to go back to its original meaning: not good but not bad either. Starfield while not perfect was still enjoyable.
@capitalism7189 Well for me, Starfield started below par....then started getting good with the Crimson Fleet missions, but then that itself didn't pay off and outside of those missions, I was not having an interesting time. When I say mid, I'm of course exaggerating, but overall this is a 7 type game which isn't bad, but I expected so much more from this game. This and Spiderman 2 were suppose to be my top 2 this yr which incidentally turned out to be Hogwart Legacy and SM2 along with Lies of P , Wo Long, and RE4. I'm having more fun with Like a Dragon Gaiden atm which is glorified dlc than I did with Starfield, but I would also give Gaiden a 7 too. Keep in mind I haven't finished Starfield either, but after supposedly 127 hrs (no way I played that much, but the coynter says this) I find no interest to play it...at least at the moment. If Gaiden was close to that length of Like a Dragon with Ichiban (90hrs), I would drop it as well lol Not because Im not enjoying it, but it isnt interesting enough to hold my attention that long like Like A Dragon before it. And that's lind of my dilemma with Starfield. It just isn't that interesting, but I did have fun with it to a certain extent. Just an overall unfulfilling experience.

Eh starfield was good in my opinion. The word mid needs to go back to its original meaning: not good but not bad either. Starfield while not perfect was still enjoyable.
@capitalism7189 Well for me, Starfield started below par....then started getting good with the Crimson Fleet missions, but then that itself didn't pay off and outside of those missions, I was not having an interesting time.
When I say mid, I'm of course exaggerating, but overall this is a 7 type game which isn't bad, but I expected so much more from this game. This and Spiderman 2 were suppose to be my top 2 this yr which incidentally turned out to be Hogwart Legacy and SM2 along with Lies of P , Wo Long, and RE4. I'm having more fun with Like a Dragon Gaiden atm which is glorified dlc than I did with Starfield, but I would also give Gaiden a 7 too.
Keep in mind I haven't finished Starfield either, but after supposedly 127 hrs (no way I played that much, but the coynter says this) I find no interest to play it...at least at the moment. If Gaiden was close to that length of Like a Dragon with Ichiban (90hrs), I would drop it as well lol Not because Im not enjoying it, but it isnt interesting enough to hold my attention that long like Like A Dragon before it. And that's lind of my dilemma with Starfield. It just isn't that interesting, but I did have fun with it to a certain extent. Just an overall unfulfilling experience.

Nah I liked the game and preordered the deluxe edition... it ain't in the top 6 of the year. Maybe if it was 8 spots it'd be in at #8 but i have Street Fighter 6 ahead of it.
