Listen, I still love the Ghoul Boys. I think it was a severe lapse in judgement that was probably clouded by panic over the way that they had handled (or not handled) their own finances. But: "Boy oh boy, is that a laugh, Ryan."
I'll probably forget about them and watch their stuff from time to time, but I was already feeling a gap widening between watcher and their fanbase, and this stunt really confirmed to me that they've totally lost the plot. The fact that they apologized at all at least brought me closure. I have better things to do than be angry at people I don't know and already decided I won't be watching anymore.
Yeah, the apology was really good and we should normalize forgiving people when they actually admit and try to fix their mistakes. But Watcher really just showed all they were thinking about is money and that really damaged their integrity.
