Hawthorn and West Coast will springboard back up the ladder this season. Both teams (especially Hawthorn) will be hovering around the top 8 this season and then will probably contend for top 4 in 2025.
Hawthorn and West Coast, along with Collingwood and Geelong, aren’t like the other AFL clubs that hang around the bottom 8 for years on end.
All four of these clubs have a proven track record stretching back 3-4 decades of sharply rebounding up the ladder after hitting rock bottom.
Geelong maybe as low as 14th or perhaps lower is fair, but Hawthorn and Eagles won’t finish 15th and 18th this season, you can bet the house on it.
hawks will for sure but west coast have absolute fuck all quality on their list. Eagles could potentially go back to back wooden spooners
West Coast are the worst team of all time so they aren't going to magically become good all of a sudden.

if I am going to predict 2024, I would go along the lines of this. even though 5-12 is going to be an absolute bitch to call next season.

there are some really brave calls there, but the race for the top 8 is going to go down to percentage next season. teams to keep an eye on, Adelaide, Carlton, GWS, and the Bulldogs. I would say that both Adelaide and Carlton are going to be the two most exciting prospects next season, as they are two teams on the rise, I don't think we should underestimate those two sides.
I think Port will be a massive slider, mostly because I do not see where their recruiting strategy is taking them, they have shown that they cannot play on the big stage, both the showdowns and their fall in the finals have proven that.

I think St Kilda will be higher on the ladder than the Western Bulldogs .
Yeah nah teams change every year the chance's the bottom 4 stay there and sides like Gold coast finish where they have on this ladder, suggest similar injuries and poor drafting.
Something not really taken fully into consideration, also players career's on the line.
But lay this prediction over the final ladder and we'll see.
Wouldn't expect many to guess it fully right. But alot of equations in footy, player's, injury, coach, staff and conditions and lots more including suspension and off field stuff

you are absolutely insane if you think geelong will be 14th.... without doubt they are top 8 if not top 4. Richmond is a tad low at 16th too but much more credible. The crows are in a rebuild phase and wont be top 8 so I would trade them out with the swans. To be perfectly honest, the top 4, I would absolutely love to see

There are a lot of these on YT this year, some are pretty wild (silly?) but this is one of the better ones. Only a couple of things that I don't totally agree with - Footscray out and Sydney in. Possibly Melbourne out too although that's a big call. Unfortunately Carlton at or very near the top. Then again, the Blues have under achieved for 20 years so who knows? Having said that, Michael Voss is no slouch so this could very well be their big year. They certainly have the players.

You have the Dogs way too high, they'll be lucky to make the eight. The swans are too good to miss the finals and how can you have Essendon two spots higher than the Suns? The Suns are coming, the Dons are average and treading water.

The dogs can not make top 4. They should be around nine
mostly accurate. i would expect collingwood to be 5th because scott pendalbury, steel sidebottom and mason cox are in their early thirties which indicates retierment, and melbourne to be 3rd, they have lost their last four finals so they will win at least one final.

Essendon and Doggies over saints? You realise the saints never left the top 8 last year and lost one starting 22 player and gained 2 starting 22 players in Henry and Dow? Full fit Max King. You are mental. Doggies got no backline. Essendon are too inconsistent and nearly lost to both WCE and North Melb.
I am a saints fan myself and I’d love to put them higher. I understand your points about Essendon and Bulldogs but i’ve just put a bold prediction that we will slip down this year!

Adelaide were robbed of a finals spot in 2023 because of that controversial denied Ben Keays Goal against Sydney
But I think they will make top 8 in 2024
they were the best team outside the 8, took it to most of the top 8 teams, and probably should have won a few more of those, and probably should have made it to the finals this year, if the goal umpire in the Sydeny game, wasn't so blind.
If the Crows can turn some of those results around next season, close to top 4 is on the cards as well.
Crows lost to pies by 1 and 2 points, lions by 5, dees by 4 all under 1 goal.. beat port twice and beat lions. They newrly knocked off the whole top 4 twice! Very unlucky to miss this year and next year I'll bet anything they make the 8. Top 4 is even possible
@@OverconfidentCromSupporter that's right, very few teams last season can boast about that, the Crows were clearly the best team to not make the finals last season. Another stat to consider is that the Crows had the fourth-highest percentage of any team in the league, their scoring power is basically on par, if not better than most of the top 8 teams.
they were running games out, so their fitness is getting to the point of being scary, they are only going to get better from where they are right now.
as you pointed out, the Crows almost took down the entire top 4 this year, so they are ultra-competitive against the very best, it seems the Crows are thriving in those conditions, where most teams fall apart.
