I have an idea! Maybe James could build some simple (or not 😄) house and then tries to explain to you, step by step, on the video, how to build it? We (viewers) are going to see his house earlier and then watch you trying to recreate it ONLY by hearing the instructions! This may come out so funny when he will be trying to explain what and how he used the items 😀
P.S. Sorry for any possible mistakes, my English is not perfect. I understand everything but I'm not the best at speaking/writing in this language. Greetings from Poland! ❤
Edit: @Deligracy I have edited my comment to correct some grammar. I didnt know your "heart reaction" will disappear because of some editing actions. Well, it did disappear unfortunately. Just saying, just in case you may be looking for this comment in future for the record of the proposed challenge. Wish you all the best! 🥰

We have 9 in Sheffield and each one is a different vibe.
There is 4 in the centre of town. There is two opposite each other as well, which is funny I guess but one is a jD whetherspoons, called The Waterworks, so plays music and the other is just a regular spoons, called The Benjamin Huntsman (and probably the more popular one as it’s the biggest). There’s another in the centre of town called Bankers Draft, which is full of old men and alcoholics. Then there’s Sheaf Island, which is student central.
Then Francis Newton, which I think is more posh in the affluent area but I’m not so sure. The Rawson Spring is another jD whetherspoons in an affluent area.
Then there is Woodseats Palace and The Steel Foundry further out within Sheffield.
Then The wagon & Horses (a JD whetherspoons) in the outskirts of Sheffield in a place called Chapeltown.
I’m pretty sure Sheffield is one of the cities with the most whetherspoons in it, we really must love it. I’ve only been to the ones in the town centre though.

Doing it Maxis first, you've ended up with totally different designs. With that terrazzo shelf from the Brutalist set, it's actually the exact width of a quarter tile. So if you put on F5 for quarter tile placement, you can place the vanity counter and therefor the sink forward by quarter of a tile to make it look built in like that! I loved that idea so just wanted to point that out, in case you see it for future builds xD

About the Christmas in Australia thing... I'm from Germany and was in June/July/August 2016 in Brisbane, Australia. And yes, that's your winter and for you it's really cold then. So on one hand I can understand that there was an ice skating area set up and some huts selling hot drinks. They reminded me of the ones we have in December on Christmas markets. On the other hand however... it had 20°C! I was wearing Shirts! Even your winter is not cold enough for the Christmas I am used to 😂😂😂

Although cc makes things look more realistic and honestly a little better..its also the easy way to decorate. With basegame only, you're definitely limited, but you're also challenged, which makes for more interesting decorating. I'm on console, so no cc for me. But it challenges me to create some of the most detailed rooms and lots in my game. I just finished recreating the Asian resturant 'TAO'. One of my favorite places to eat. It was very challenging with only basegame content but I pulled it off. It looks brilliant and the Sims love it there. If you you look hard enough, basegame (and owning a few packs) has some pretty good items to work with...including you have imagination.

I'm from Germany and have been to Australia twice. First time in December 2014. I visited a friend who was backpacking at this time. I flew to Cairns, via Sydney an we travelled down to Sydney in five weeks. When i got on the plane in Frankfurt (GER) we had about 5°C and when i got off in Sydney, it was nearly 40°C and there was christmas decoration EVERYWHERE. It felt very crazy seeing palmtrees and fake christmas trees with lametta and christmas ornaments. We usually don't have that many fake christmas trees over because we love the real ones. And so we went diving with christmas hats, had barbecues, went to the beach and did everything i usually know from previous summer holidays. 24th of December we went to the beach on magnetic island, drawed a christmas tree into the sand and waited for the sun to go down. Next day we took the only ferryride back to land that was on schedule that day. We knew, you guys celebrate more on the 25th, but we didn't expect every store to be closed on that day, because your shops are usually open 7days a week ^^ So we had to get around with the food we had for one day, but it was still one of the best christmas eves i had!
The second time i came back to Sydney in July 2019. The Robotics team i coach at my Highschool qualified for the the world championship, so we went down there with five girls, my co-coach (she the friend who i visited Downunder in 2014) my boyfriend and a teacher from our school. This time things were the other way round. We hopped on the plane in Frankfurt with 28°C and when we got off in Sydney we had about 17°C. We spent a week in Sydney with Robocup and after the competition was over, we had time to explore Sydney and... were very confused to find christmas stuff again ^^ There was a little Christmas market at Sydney habour and when we went to the Blue Mountains for one Night, nearly everything in Katoomba was christmas decorated. They told us, the nights are cold enough to have snow in July, so they celebrate a second Christmas to get the cold and snowy feeling. We didn't have snow while we were there but it had still temperatures below zero, something i didn't expect beforehand. And just about two weeks later we visited K'gari Island and swam in the warm waters of Champagne Pools with 27°C air temperature.
I loved both visits, even though they were very different and I am determined to return a third time, with or without Christmas ;)

I live in Florida, smack dab in the middle of the state, and I can promise you we get pretty cold here in the winter. Not the whole winter! Not even weeks at a time. Heck, we're lucky if its even days at a time. But we get our couple of cold days during this time of the year. We've actually had some BEAUTIFUL cool weather the last few weeks, with very low humidity. The humidity is what kills it here. In the summer time you can't breathe, and in the winter time its a wet cold. So even though 50 degrees celsius doesn't sound very cold, you feel it in your bones. I'd take the dry cold of my Michigan native roots over this wet humid cold any day!

I live in Argentina (south america) so we have christmas on summer too, like 40 degrees summer and i totally get what you're saying about christmas decoration, it doesn't suit the season and it gets pretty annoying that we don't have our own inspiration for decor. At least we have summery fresh homemade food and drinks to enjoy 😅

I like both of the houses and I think it's practical that they didn't have windows looking into one another. I agree that a mixture between maxis and cc is definitely more fun. If I'm not mistaken, Harrie's Spoons pack is based on the UK's chain of pubs group Weatherspoons, for short the brits call it spoons lol.

I really like both cc and maxis builds pretty equally. I am really loving the content creaters you use, especially the doors and windows. I am a California girl born and raised, Love Christmas decorations, I tend to go overboard on the decorations at Christmas. It never seemed strange to me to have traditional decorations in a warm climate. We put up lights outside, but never did fake snow, that might be a little strange to me.

Oh yeah, the Christmas in hot climates is kinda odd, here in Brazil we're decorating things with fake snow and the weather is like 35-37°C , but I kinda love it, specially 'cause my apt is all grey walls and black furniture the green, red and gold look so good. The only thing is food, traditional Christmas time food is so heavy for hot climates, ham, roasted turkey and veggies, it's all amazing, but also a lot.

I'm from Alabama and it gets decently cold here. (just below freezing) I remember a few years ago it was down to 10*F and I didn't know what to do with myself. ofc ik other places are used to that. but you'd never think Alabama or Florida would be. it usually stays around 50 or below during winter.
