I find it cute than Jinpachi only truly panics after realizing that his grandson and great-grandson are tied alongside him. Truly the best Mishima of them all.

He was more like a revenge thirsty character against Mishima heirline (Heihachi and Kazuya) on his first appearances, for how he realized he was no more than a mere tool to motivate young Kazuya's growth when he was adopted by Heihachi and he never had any intention to pass onto Lee the Zaibatsu as a proper son. This spite, while he did indeed significantly chill as time went by, is still kinda in him as shown in various endings even till very recent series. It's just that his priority has eventually shifted with bringing vengeance and claiming the Zaibatsu as he got more things to care of after earning his own wealth by some unexplained way by the point of T4. I'd say to the extent that Lee and his Violet Systems decided to sponsor Jin and Lars' former-Tekken Force rebels, even though both him and Kazuya are both guilty of war crimes from the perspective of an outsider, partly because they themselves are the enemy of Kazuya and Mishima Zaibatsu.
Lee has influence over the world now so he really doesn't need to keep up with the beef. But Heihachi came back in T8 so idk maybe he might go back to the bxd guy act

Jinpachi was a good man, he just was possessed by the Devil. Even Kazuya shows him some respect before their fight.
Even if he didn’t meet him, he likely learned about Jin after he took control of the Zaibatsu
Which got me thinking, how did Kazuya know Jin was using Mishima style before? By the time the 2 first met, Jin is already using traditional Karate.
