Its nice because the game always hinted they were close before the ending of T3, and that in Xiaoyu's T4 intro Jin at least reached out to warn her, doubling down on the idea they were friends. In T8, Jin sayibg its been a while since they used to spar, and her moves have improved at least show that they did at some point hang out. And his smile at her was adorable, he certainly showed that they had some measure of closeness.
It’s funny to me that I shipped these two right away during Tekken 3 release - only based on the fact that they both had school uniform alternate costumes. And with that, I also decided the young successor characters of Tekken 3 were fellow high school students. So in my canon, it was decided Julia, Hwoarang and Forest Law attended Mishima Polytechnical school too, and were in a love triangle.
I wish we could get a series or an anime that shows all of the high school aged characters hanging out and doing school stuff,but still kicking butt when they have to. Jin,Xiayou,Hwoarang,Asuka.Lili,ForresLaw and Christie.
I shipped them when t3 came out as well solely for the uniform and stage lol. Also because I like their personality dynamic, and thought they could look cute together.

I think that was Xiaoyu's main goal, to show the people who Jin really is. The idea that she believed he was good deep down, and that this was the route he was going on. T8 jin really kind of proved that his goodness remained, he was just blinded by hate.
I like how Xiaoyu mirroring that of Jun Kazama who likes animals, a kind-hearted women, and loves and caring towards the man they love despite having a devil gene in their body.
I think Jin kept avoiding Xiaoyu because he doesn't want to repeat his parents mistake, which is him (besides he wanted to act like an arsehole cool guy). Now he is supposedly free from the curse, he has options now, and she might have a chance.
Jin avoided her to protect her, he knew the influence of not being able to control his DG, his journey was accepting himself, his blood & his DG. Jin had always deeply cared/love Xiaoyu. Him promising to come back to her, held her hand with both his hands, and was the last thought everytime thinking of a desire, free from the DG now, and will spend his life happy with Xiaoyu and his comrades now.
Surprising that there wasn't any interaction between the two until Tag. It's like the devs realized Jin needs friends to avoid becoming a murder hobo after his ending in 3.
It will be crazy if Tekken 9 will have a double wedding with Jin/Xiaoyu and Lars/Alisa. Now that the devil gene is gone, the Mishima bloodline can continue peacefully starting with our two bros.

And They always have to confort him to show him that he is a best father of The world, because he Care about your family above everthing. Extra scene: Jun showing UP again, because The world Is in danger again and see that she had nieces, and everthing got Dark, because Kazuya back too, and almost cause a scene for mocking his nieces and Jin prepare his fist to protect their son's honor.

This is about as canon as we might get. At the end, Jin returning to her alone feels symbolic to "going home is returning to her." The ending feels like it's Jin's new beginning of living life and being with those important to him (which the story pushed) and her being the only person feels like they mean to say this is the start of reciprocated feelings.

This is about as canon as we might get. At the end, Jin returning to her alone feels symbolic to "going home is returning to her." The ending feels like it's Jin's new beginning of living life and being with those important to him (which the story pushed) and her being the only person feels like they mean to say this is the start of reciprocated feelings.
