- We're finally back in the camper!! After 6 months of being home with family and friends we are finally back in the camper and we couldn't be more excited! This week we headed down to the Outer Banks, North Carolina (OBX) and spent our time checking out the area and exploring Ocracoke Island. We had so much fun and it feels so good to be back! We can't wait to share more soon :)

Hi! We are Michael and Kelsie and we are newly full time RV living at 27 years old. We sold everything to pursue our dream of traveling the country with our golden retriever puppy. We've stayed at Camp Hatteras and it's a great campground. I will say that if you have kids and/or dogs be careful letting the kids run barefooted or the dogs bare paws as sandspurs are common and painful. This isn't just a Hatteras issue but throughout the coastal south.

We camped at the Oregon Inlet Campground,very nice. Think we been there 3 times. ❤it
I love Ocracoke Island! They have a yearly pirate festival in honor of Blackbeard who died near the island and his head was lowered into the harbor.

LOL. The lighthouse was never in the water. There's a marker on the beach where it was built. It was moved in 1999.
