  • Bits and pieces from during and after a BBC News bulletin on BBC World, presented by Philip Hayton (plus business news with Patrick O'Connell and weather wih Peter Cockroft). Broadcast at 2300 GMT on 10 September 2001 - 0000 BST on 11 September. 13 hours later, the world would change forever...
    ...but anyway. Some interesting observations:
    - After the 'coming up' segment halfway through the bulletin, there is an American business segment with Patrick O'Connell in New York. This seems to have been produced specifically for American audiences, as it wasn't signposted and it appeared where adverts would normally go.
    - I've left in the weather forecast and breakfiller that followed the bulletin, purely for the amazing weather sting and that iconic breakfiller!

Brilliant capture. Phillip Hatton seemed subdued. The US insert not seen before. The break filler sequence simply 10/10. Odd that they trail Asia Business Report (except Europe and the Americas), but it is Hardtalk that is “Coming Next”.
