Gonna upgrade my 12 Pro Max immediately ordering the 15 Pro Max on Friday, finally being able to use the same charging cable for my iPad and iPhone gonna be way less annoying

I’m finally gonna make the jump from iPhone X to iPhone 15 Pro Max. The jump from last year seems underwhelming, but it’ll be a huge improvement over what I currently have. Especially for the camera which is really showing it’s age with my iPhone X.

@@patymar80 I think the a17 pro chip is not going to make a big difference unless you’re a heavy mobile gamer which I’m not. The performance improvement over the a16 chip doesn’t seem like that much going by what Apple said. But I’m considering the pro model for the 120 hz refresh rate and possibly better battery life(?).

I know alot of people are mad that there's not HUGE differences from prior year's models but...as someone who is leaving android for IOS for the first time EVER, I'm pretty excited. I think they've come a long way. I never thought in a million years that I would be switching but here I am, typing this on my soon to be replaced S22 ultra. Im just ready for something different and my days as a die-hard samsung fan boy have come to a close.
See you next year when you switch back to the s24 ultra, i did the same move and here I am typing on my beast s23 ultra! IPhones are just so boring they make them for elders!

I love the new phones but in my opinion the iphone base models should have more hz and an always on display. It's just weird that they gatekeep these simple features for the pro models when pretty much all phones at any price range have these simple features.

Hard to chose between Natural Titanium and Black Titanium. Both of them look nice.
Thing I never liked about non-black iPhone's is seeing that edge of the back panel color around the screen, therefore I always go-black no matter how much I like other colors. Black/dark color of the back panel just makes the screen look more edge-less so to say. Possibly fingerprints will be much less noticeable on Natural Titanium.

@@matthiasj1997 yeah, plus I am afraid the wow effect on natural titanium will wear off and you will look at it as simply a gray boring phone, while black is black - ultimate premium color for top notch device. Plus the mentioned arguments play huge role - (1) seamless front due to not seeing the back panel color on the sides and (2) less intrusive camera module.
Nonetheless I am quite sure Natural Titanium will be most popular choice at least in the beginning.

Can‘t decide between natural and black titanium. I would go for the natural but I don’t want it to be too bright… in some videos it seems a bit darker (what I prefer) and in others it seems brighter…

They spent an hour talking about Mother Nature and Titanium because they didn't have any features to show off. They should have just made it a shorter show. An $800 phone in 2023 should be better than USB 2.0 speeds... We're back to Apple feeling a couple years behind innovative product design with the foldables and camera zooms out there. I'll hold onto my 12 pro unless there's some great deal...

They are behind in some things but cutting edge in others…the Pros will be the first phones ever to offer Thread connectivity. I’m sure not many were asking for that, but I was! So I’m pretty happy with that.
$800 to trade in your 12 Pro is a pretty great deal. You can get the 15Pro at 0% interest for $5 a month (depending on your carrier). If you don't do 1 of the big 3, it is certainly less compelling if you are paying full price. But, $200 for the brand new iPhone? I call that compelling (I checked AT&T, Verizon & T-Mobile offers [T-Mobile is $0 a month]).

As a stead fast Android user on a Folding device I really appreciate the iPhone 15 Pros, the fact that they made movements towards repairability with the back glass, sustainability with USB C and customization via the action button, and the fact that even though they moved to a titanium chassis and jumped to 256gb but didn't hike up the price shows a side of apple that we rarely see and really gives them points imo.
It genuinely feels like the first real iPhone upgrade in a long time.
I haven’t thought of it like this and I am an avid lover of both platforms. I have had way more iPhone than android, when growing up revived hand-me-down iPhones from the 4-5S. Then I was able to convince my mom, when she actually got me a new phone, a galaxy Note5! Had Note9 as well. If I done foldable, I would do pixel based off of looks and both the screens. I do not like Samsungs iteration even if it may be better and stronger. I also am a sucker for apples aesthetics. 😢 I loved the S23 but then a fallout with Verizon Wireless and an Apple Credit Card later and I’m hooked for another 3 year phone. 🤣

@killswitch896 Hey man if it works it works lol, im still rocking my Fold 3, i just paid it off so that feels nice and personally I like Samsungs OneUI because it feels so intuitive to me but my way doesn't work for everyone, but if I were to buy an iPhone I definitely wouldn't have the same buyers remorse about a 15 Pro Max as I would've about a 14 Pro Max, for example things like Lightning was too much of a compromise for me.
They had no choice. Europe forced them.

The iPhone 15 pro max looks awesome in the natural titanium color.
Apple has really given users solid phones for a while now. They have a found such an interesting balance between providing software updates for previous phones, but also coming out with new iPhones with exclusive features.
XS users are probably going strong with maybe just a battery replacement needed. It is hard to really complain at this point.
Tbh if it wasn’t for USB-C, I’d be perfectly happy holding onto my 11 for one more year

Gotta give props to Apple marketing. First they couldn't get a pin hole for camera so they market the island was a feature. Now they get forced to change from lightning to USB C and they celebrate it like it was their idea. These guys are the best at these events!

The protective sapphire glass over the camera lenses looks pretty dark in all the videos I have seen. Do you think it has a built in ND filter?
Blue pro is the best color, and will definitely be picking one up. Not mentioned in the video (or Apple’s for that matter) is that the Pros will be the first phone ever with a Thread radio in it which will be great for home automation.
I agree, blue by far. I liked natural titanium but I think it doesn't pop as much and with blue, I won't really see the colors of the edges on the front screen

That action button is very handy. Especially if you need an evidence just press it and voice recorder will immediately record the entire convo. 👍🏼😁
You could do it already with a little bit of set up… or just get an android on top of the iPhone 14 pro max like I did. Expensive and useless.

for me i have the iphone 12 pro max pacific blue color. or i can wait for the iphone 16 pro max or the iphone 17 pro max. or i could wait until the iphone 18 pro series. coming in 1 to 3 years and maybe a full screen/ display. and also thin bezels for the iphone series. is it worth it to upgrade to the iphone 15 series with usb-c ports cables.
Hopefully they make the action button where it can do more than one thing at a time like hit it once for silent hit it twice for camera or hold it for alarm

Which type c cable should i use ? Is there MFI certified type c cable for iPhone 15 ?? If i use type c cable and its not MFI certified then it will ruin my battery health..

You got the wrong phone. The 14 was the one to skip, it was hardly any better than the 13. This is a nice upgrade from my 13 and easily beats the 14 in everything.

@@michaelbell75Ikr only upgrade was ‘dynamic island’ and 48mp. Battery was worse so it was even a downgrade. 15 pro max is just perfect upgrade Imo (for people with 12 (pro) or lower.

Would be great if we could plug in the phone with USBC then wirelessly charge the watch and airpods through the back of the phone simultaneously. Then you would really only need to bring one cable when you travel.

You gotta try if the minimum focus distance for the main 48MP has increased since iPhone 14 pro max, which was ridiculously low, which made the quality of any close up suck hard due to x0.5 zooming in to x1, resulting in 3MP crops…

The pro max still went up by $100 NZD (~$58USD) in New Zealand but I'm still gonna get it, 256GB, Raw Titanium. Should be a nice upgrade from the 13 Pro which I will give to my GF who is currently using a Note 10+ so it'll be a nice upgrade for her too.

I know 1k is a lot but still i give credit to apple for sticking to the same pricing since from the iphone x while android phone went from budget to ultra expensive nowadays. I still can't move on on that samsung note 20 a 1k phone for a 600-700max equivalent android phone.
Going carbon neutral probably helped them to stay at that price without adding a lil bit more.

About the price. This only applies in the US. In the rest of the world, iPhones are becoming more expensive every year, making them unaffordable
@@royalladin5276 the price is applied globally but differ on how much the government on each country apply taxes. In my country a $999 128gb 15 pro version is like $1,250 it sucks but it is what it is.

LOL I remember when iphones finally got Gorilla glass from Samsung, the excitement was the same as the USB-C.
My Nexus 4 from 2012 had Gorilla Glass, NFC payment/connection, wireless charging, and all the Android features of the time like customizable widgets. That phone was years ahead of iPhones and many Androids.
Fanboy Gorilla glass is from Corning, not from Samsung, display and front glass are two different things.
I thoughts iPhone was the first phone to use glass from Corning. It’s definitely not made by Samsung.

Next year my prediction for regular iphone 16: 120hz display, action button, usb-c 3.0. I guess that they will put usb-c 4.0,thunderbolt to the pro’s . So the iphone 16 will be a real beast of a phone except the cameras. The upgrades are incremental from year to the nexts years model.

60vs 120 isn’t nothing to a average user. I couldn’t see a difference until I got a iPad Pro and then was like ok this is different, but to a average they won’t notice
I can easily switch back to 60Hz on my Android via power saving mode. Yes it looks slightly choppier, but seeing as many people think my Android phone is an iPhone, I don't think they'll be noticing much with screen refresh rates.

I had been expecting x6 optical zoom on the Pro Max. Having it double my current optical zoom would make it an instant buy. Having it be x5 just makes me feel like they’re going to make it x6 next year,making a big deal out of a meager upgrade. Who knows, maybe 5 years from now they’ll have x10 optical zoom. Making them on par with the best Android flagship phones of today.

@@DanielMazz yes impossible to say now. But one thing that I know is that iPhone 17 (base models) will have a 120hz screen and the pro models (17 pro and pro Max) will have a punch hole display.
Skipping it again this year. The USBc isn't that big a deal and to be honest my iphone 13 pro max still runs great and I barely use it. I mostly use a samsung s23 ultra and it has everything I could want. Btw what's up w apple not going to at least 90 Hz on their display ?
