#iPhone15ProMax #S23Ultra #SuperSaf - Věda a technologie
Hope you enjoyed the comparison 😎 #SuperSafStyle Which is your overall pick? 🤔
overall goes to Iphone. Consistent .. the video, 24mp as standard and it is quite snappy , low light mode. Iphone wins easily. gonna have this as my second phone. I love my S22Ultra as a daily driver except for the just "good camera" and this Iphone is stellar.
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building!!!
s23 ultra has long had 2x in portrait and normal
I'm curious. Its obvious these videos take a lot of work. Have you ever thought of doing a "behind the scenes" edition on how you make these camera comparison videos?
Definitely the Samsung S23 ultra! Even by mere viewing of the comparison shots u put up, it seemed pretty obvious that the Samsung samples were better. I was kinda surprised on many occasions when u said u preferred that of the iPhone. Had to watch the video again in 4k to be sure it wasn't a problem with my TV.
Not everyone understands how much time these comparisons take. They are time-consuming and exhausting, especially when you need to nitpick the flagship cameras. Excellent work, Saf!
Hmm, that's the really bro, if you want to get paid thousands from one video, you need to put hard work in..
@@iagree7388😂😂😂

For the first time ever I was actually able to spot proper differences in these photos and videos! Really great comparison.
That said, I’m truly shocked by the processing time on the S23 ultra.
There was an edit on this comparison, if you have watch other videos of the s23U v 14pm
You will notice the s23 UItra was why much better and now it's looking like the s22U 😂 this dude is an isheep
He used 12MP instead of 200MP dont u see the bias already?

@@ipllight well, he did compare 200mp vs 48mp. The only thing i would do is using Gcam on S23u which provides some better processing
The S23 Ultra is pretty impressive considering it was realeased some 8 months ago.
8 months isn't a long time.
@@mamamia601how is that not when a phone generation is 12 months ????....that's 2/3 rds of the phone genetation till a new one comes out
-SInce the September update the S23U also supports 2x lossless zoom as well as 2x portraits.
-When shooting night photos with telephoto lenses, S23U will default to the main camera and use digital zoom (Auto lens switching is on), so actually you have been using digital zoom from the main lens. You can use Camera Assistant (it's now integrated in the camera settings) to disable the Auto lens switching...
-When shooting night video, there is a visible stutter on iPhone - which is unussual. That obviously means that the iPhone lowers the FPS to soak up more light. That's why the video looks a bit brighter. There is an option in the S23U camera settings which enables Auto FPS - that helps in the low light somewhat...
Exactly. In addition, the S 23 ultra can add the portrait effect afterwards like the iphone does

yea, I find it odd that the S23 Lowlight video is shyte there, unless othrewise he did not turn on those settings in the camera settings. Because I've been using my S23 Ultra for 6 months now, and I know this camera could very well see more in low light than my actual eyes can do.

@@cosmicreaverkassadin1143you’re the reason phone wars are still a. Thing. Each phone is good at its own thing.
@cosmicreaverkassadin1143 For those who still have the impression that Android phones from 10 years ago would crash after one year of use, please take a look at the performance comparison. Although Apple still leads the CPU by a large margin, now is the era of GPUs. AI and 3D game image processing also mainly rely on GPU. This year, A17 pro and 8 Gen2 can only tie, but 8Gen 3 will be released at the end of October.
Come on son, it's time to understand the Iphone is getting over.
Also, the extended zoom feature in the Samsung s23 ultra is grossly underrated. It has helped me so much in identifying road signs, sign posts, plate numbers and reading objects at a distance my normal eyes can't see and saving me the stress of walking a longer distance.

Between these 2 there is no wrong choice honestly. I personally believe we’ve come to a point where the cameras are so evenly matched that it’s no longer a gap that’ll make one noticeably better than the other. That being said this video helped me make my choice between the 2 phones ( currently on a 14 pro max ) and I think id be giving the 23 ultra a go, the pics imo were slightly better and more of my taste while the 15 pro max has better video. I take photos more than videos so id lean more towards the ultra.

@@confusedgaming8010, both - Samsung
@@confusedgaming8010🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@confusedgaming8010 not really, I’ve had every iPhone and pixel to date including the 7pro. The pixel always took the best photos and imo won year after year and was definitely the best camera for pictures in 2022 when it dropped but not in 2023. The 23ultra imo definitely wins this year for photos unless there’s some major update with the pixel 8 pro coming out soon
Just think 8k , 960 fps for slow motion, and also more storage etc in less price .
Thanks Saf for the comprehensive review on the cameras. However, it would had been great to have some pics/video comparison of human subjects indoors. I've seen some reviews in which i15 doesn't fare that very well in medium to low light indoor situations. More comparison between the 2 cams on human subjects would be good to add within your review. On the following time frame of your review 5.55/7.30/14.30/18.45 I felt the dynamic range was rather off, making you look so artificially tanned. Just didn't seem natural, at least to me. I've also seen similar results on other reviews especially, when shots were taken indoors. Iphone 14 doesn't seem to have that issue. Hope, Apple will be able to fix this if indeed, ppl find it awkward. Once again, thanks for the review and more indoors please. Cheers!
I'm using S23 Ultra and I can add portrait effect to the pictures after I take them so I see you focus so much on that point in the iPhone but didn't mention it in the S23 Ultra.
However, I liked the video and I was waiting for this comparison to see how my king will stand against what's known as the Camera master haha, Best Regards Safwan.
Yeah, I noticed the same thing. I feel like they don't take time to know the nitty-gritty of other phones, like they do with iPhone

Yes! I dont know why tech vloggers do not mention this you can change focus everytime you take a shot on portrait mode on the native app and even photo only thru galaxy enhance x
Gets invited to the apple event, has the apple watch and a mac, how biased is Saf? Neglects to mention blur effect after the shot on the S23, I suppose it is an extra step, says night time shots are better on the apple view finder but personally that dark a situation you can judge it enough if required just by pointing in general direction, kind of expected his conclusion, optics on Samsung are always going to win out over digital zoom, as always it's an eco system choice both are good depending on which OS, can't be too harsh on apple can get blacklisted,

Best comparison of the cameras in these two phones I’ve seen on CZcams! You’ve done an amazing job and I feel way better informed as to what I will be getting if I buy one. Great work Saf.
Thanks for the review, interesting to see as an s23 ultra user. At time of purchase I found slight edge to Samsung for photos and slight edge to iPhone for video. Seems iPhone have made further improvements.
Ultimately, I'm really happy and I find the 10x zoom great for conferences and wildlife. Personally I would not zoom 10x in dark, but appreciate the thorough review and tests and was surprised at the quality of the 5x zoom despite preferring the 3x and 10x combo.
I hope samsung add auto portrait mode as an update as that would be brilliant, but may be forced to wait until s24. For me I update every 3-4 years so time will tell 😎
I use an older version of both, personal and work. Both have their strengths, but neither is disappointing. Depends on the ecosystem you prefer. Nice comparison
Honestly, both of them are great cameras. It's just comes down to which operating system and ecosystem you prefer.
The iPhone is clearly better , you will be downgrading if you go android
@@dadillonfulBS.
@@dadillonful Absolutly not, Men going from Android to Iphone is downgrading, Imaging being free to do what ever you want, and customize the phone the way you want, and then go and buy a phone where the company (Apple) tells you how to use the phone, and have very little stuff you can customize. I used Iphone 4 and SE and then bough S9. I Was insaned about the Screen Quality then (The iphone in 2018 had very bad screen ), the customization was amazing and still until now, the stability of the software was very good (the IOS is very good as well).
Do not forget that S23 Ultra came out feb 2023, compared to Iphone 15 Pro Max. A more fair comparison would be when the S24 Ultra is released.
@@dadillonfulabsolute tosh lol. Each to their own!
I wish more people thought like this. I’ve had the best of the best Samsung and the best of the best iPhone. I like them both an I think they are great phones. iPhone is just my preferred OS and ecosystem currently! I like the simplicity of the OS and everything just works together better for me! 🍻
For Samsung. Camera assistant settings that help: Adaptive Pixel - Reduce noise in low light shots by combining multiple lower-resolution frames into the final higher-resolution picture. Also: Quick Tap Shutter - Take pictures as soon as your finger touches the shutter button instead of when you lift it off.
Have been watching your camera comparisons from years, great work as always!
I have an S23 Ultra and an iPhone and not sure that I'm ordering a 15 Pro/Max. I also work with all types of cameras as a cinematographer, videographer, and photographer. I said that to mention that this comparison is misleading. Just to note, I wouldn't recommend either of them if you're seriously trying to capture a professional sort of look. What I will say is this seems to heavily lean on a personal opinion and the portrait section was a huge highlight of this. That iPhone portrait was definitely not accurate bokeh. It's heavily processed and noticeable. Just hoping to hear a bit more subjective comparisons based on the technical capabilities of these phones. To be short, they're both very close in their delivery of allowing more cinematic photos/video. I'll tell you this for a fact.. the THREE lenses on the iPhone Pro and Pro Max rely more on marketing than actual output. It isn't what it's said to be at all and for someone who would use these to their highest capabilities.. it is not worth it
Canon, Nikon and Sony are still somewhat safe, but it is impressive how far phones have come. More and more applications (including professional) are possible with phones. Where phones lack in sheer output quality, they massively gain in portability. There is room in even a professional’s bag for phones now.
@@kbarrett1844 absolutely correct! Plus most multimedia consumers don't have professional eyes to observe the flaws and differences, hell I mean most pople don't even own a 4K TV not to mention 8K which even a rich person reflects if needed since there is not much 8K content. The mases are well behind technology unfortunately.
I agree
Coming from a primarily Samsung user, I'm honestly quite impressed with the iPhone 15 Pro Max camera. I do believe it's a bigger upgrade than what a lot of people give it credit for. I expected it to dethrone the S23 Ultra just like how every 6 months, a new iPhone releases, beating the latest Galaxy, and then a new Galaxy releases, beating the new iPhone and yeah I wasn't wrong lol.

Thanks for all your detail tests. My take is cameras on both phones are great. Just buy what you like as a phone, not a camera. You wouldn't notice differences in most cases unless you look for them. If fact, vast majority of users won't even care about the small differences in picture quality.
Good comment
Very well said
Absolutely spot on!
Agreed
There are some pretty huge differences in quality on the video and photos are still noticeable. The Samsung was better in exactly 1 normal photo and 1 audio clip, plus the 10x regular light shots. Otherwise, the 15 Pro Max clobbered it and it wasn’t close. Plus, Pro RAW is still vastly better than any of the RAW images an Android can take, and I like to edit most of my photos so that’s a huge plus.

I switched from 14 Pro max to S23 ultra 2 months ago. I have been a huge apple person for 10 years. Every time i switched from Iphone to android, i have always went back to iphone within 1-2 weeks. Very good video Saf. You were thorough and fair throughout the comparison. I got the iPhone but overall still thing Samsung is one step ahead when it comes to cameras. It’s been that way for years now.
The depth sensor feature where you can change focus was available in HTC One M8. I wonder why any company took so long to get this feature again.
- Have you innovate something this year?
- Apple: I don't need to. I pay the most relevant CZcamsrs and online Influencers to "review" and sell the products to their audiences as being the best innovations.
I stopped at the "camera lag" when he got to Samsung. You know you can customize every setting on Samsung to the core
That’s a hardware limitation, not a software to be customised. The iPhone is way faster due to its exceptional A17 Pro chip (Apple Silicon) that’s way faster than Qualcomm and Samsung chips, that’s why it can do REALLY TIME processing for low light, portrait and HDR, when no Android phone can do that, and has to have a lag (spinning processing circle). The chip can’t handle this in real time.
Hardware limitation if you can understand that!
Great review!!

Honestly, the s23 ultra has shown me how much contrast the iPhone 15 is using the s23 ultra look a lot more natural to me. I remember when samsung could never come close to the iPhone in camera comparison, the iPhone time is over in having the best camera in the market
That's true iPhones camera has always been better but the price matters and often times iPhone adds fake colours that don't really fit unless you're planning on uploading it to Ur IG
Samsung absolutely Nailed It this year with s23 ultra
I'm watching this video on my s23 ultra and My god it feels good 😁
Both are great but iphone won this test.
For the night shots. You can manually set the length of time on iPhone so wouldn’t it be better to match the 6s on Samsung
Exactly. It was unfair that he was using almost double the capture time on the S23 U. The 15 PM would’ve looked better if it had the same amount of capture time
@@jimjamjon2285 yeah but irl 3 seconds its better than 6
@@yzxz9012Man, if you have time to wait for 3 seconds the you certainly have time for another 3, don't bulls hit yourself.
@@iTheGeo You tripping, waiting 6 sec to take a pic its shit lol, dont bs yourself staying like a pillar for 6 sec instend of 3 for the same result lol
@@yzxz9012 You are literally like a brick up there, right? We mention that S23U night mode was set at more seconds than iPhone therefore the comparison was not any good.
Other youtuber dont even mention about Ultrawide but you still compare everything. Great reviewer.
Other than photo taken what new features do these phones offer? Are they any different from the older models?
Man,S23U is insanely good even till now 😮
can you use the 24MP and 48mp camera on the most complaitble setting instead of most efficent?
Great review for both phones
Love all the details in the comparison. Nice.
For some reason, almost all the s23u photos look better to me except the night zoom. I believe that making shadow areas brighter/whitish, does not always make the image look better always. It needs to maintain a balance. On the other hand iphones videos are great
I agree (as a photographer) the shadows lower contrast makes it look washed out
I thought I was the only one
Yea same. Been learning photography for the past year and I must say I prefer the s23u.
