Change the tone of your S4 3.0T exhaust with an easy-to-install upgrade from ECS Tuning! The ECS Tuning Center X-Pipe installs in place of the resonator located in the middle of the factory exhaust system to increase exhaust note and allow for better flow of exhaust gases.
The engineers at ECS Tuning have designed a direct fit dual exhaust pipe featuring an X cross section in the center to balance exhaust pulses and increase expulsion of spent exhaust gases from the engine. Had this on my old s4, was best bang for the buck sound mod you could do! Mine was manual too, sounded great when shifting paired with intake!
how good did it sound on daily drives? I want it to sound loud but not to the point where I can't start my car at night.
@@tacticalwhoo9349 it’s great, little bit more drone than stock, but nothing crazy or unbearable for highway drives. Def louder outside when on throttle. Deeper low rpm too. Cold starts a little bit louder than stock def nothing like where you can’t start your car at night. I have like one video on my page of how it sounds under acceleration. Got cold start video too I had recorded, just never uploaded them lol

yeah it requires cutting and welding, Just had a shop do it. Quick and easy, think they only charged me like 100 bucks, but this was years ago lol. Mine was different tho think magnaflow x pipe like 100 bucks for that. Prob bit more expensive now. I'd recommend just taking it to shop tbh and this is coming from someone that works on their own cars lol. @@tacticalwhoo9349

Very nice! How loud is it compared to the AWE exhaust + resonator? I'm looking for something similar, without the insane price tag. Is this the solution?
We don't have an AWE exhaust to compare. Maybe someone has had both setups and can chime in. Our X-Pipe is a great affordable option for adding an aggressive sound.

Just got myself a B8 S4. In this video are you using stock mufflers as well? I was thinking of getting rid of them plus this x-pipe...
He has a full description of what he has done. I believe he kept the stock Axel back OEM exhaust portion but changed out the center with ECS X-pipe. Myself I went all in and went with a resonated Down Pipe and full exhaust from AWE with 120mm tips. Sounds great, I plan on doing the ECU upgrade this year sometime. Congrats on your B8 S4! Cheers.

When you install it do you use the mufflers from the car 'tis elf or do you have to buy off brand mufflers to make it the duke exaust on each side?
Crap.. I cant decide if I should by the rear carbon fiber deck lid spoiler..... is it tacky, or does it give it a better look.

Well I put the Deval Front CF Splitter on, and then went with the ECS Tuning Rear CF Diffuser. It looks a lot better than the Deval Rear CF Diffuser. No CF wing, left it Business-Elegant looking. I then added AWE Tuning exhaust with Resonated Down Pipe. Love it, its like a brand new car.
What is the OE exhaust diameter?
Do I need to cut the exhaust or is the stock mid pipe removable and an even swap with this xpipe?

No this should not cause a CEL because the X-Pipe is after the cats and O2 sensors.

Yes drone. At 3200 rpms or 2/3 throttle from lower rpm with high gear.
