Both Max and Volk looks so depleted in these interviews. It helps fans understand how much the fighters go thru to fight. Much respect to both men.
Like Max said, the weight cut is harder than the fight itself. Insane what these guys do to make weight and still fight the next day. It's crazy how they seem to be a good mood too.

In the long term, Yes. Because our brain is essentially submerged in our skull in water/fluid and so dehydrating takes toll on ur well being sooner or later. Bodybuilders go through hell when they cut water for 1-3 days and trust me u get so irritated and grumpy even by the smallest things that u just lash out on people if u dont have self control... Cant imagine how these guys r able to fight after the water cut I cant even move after d contest (Bodybuilding) is done all i wanna do is eat n sleepđđȘđ«đ đ đ

The weight cuts show on both fighters, there's gotta be a better way to set these prize fights up.
Stop letting people be weight bullies? that would solve that issue quickly lool but then 80% of the fighters would have to fight in their real weightclass, so basically volk, izzy and cannonier would be lightheavyweights, max would be a middleweight, batamweights like yan, sterling, merab, morales would all be lightweights (morales could probably make welter aswell lool), usman would be a middleweight, along with khabib and chandler, poirier, gaethje, islam would be welterweights. 125lbs would be completely extinct as most of them are easily 135+ fig could probably make lightweight aswell since he like 140-150 before cut.

@@worldview6218 You said it perfectly "The few that don't cut much weight" they are the ones that are not weight bullying guys like colby, oliveria, petits, tony, cerrone, miller, etc are all fighting within their weight classes which is why weight cut ain't hard for them, weight bullies usually have issues cutting weight due to having to cut too much.
I agree that it is a system but its a system of cheating and the ufc have allowed it to go on since they only care about money and not what's fair, so you are right if you aren't doing it you are at a disadvantage which is why I don't get why everyone gets at jones for cheating the way they do.
Around 2011 and before usada came into the picture everyone was cheating it was much easier too do, so you had to do it just to get a fair fight in just like being a weightbully nowadays, he just pushed it, unlike the other cheaters who where wise enough to stop when usada came into the pic, guys like gsp, silva etc, that's the main difference.

Volk is a great dude and a class act and true champ that has used his platform for good and always shows up! Max is too and is also the man. I hate these fights where I love both guys because both deserve that belt and some how both have looked better and better every fight since their fights! This one is gonna be crazy because both have a chip on their shoulders to prove they deserved the last two. This card is awesome.

Man, gotta say, Volk is a really great dude. So cool that he kinda saw through Max at the conference. Really interesting that he reads opponents during fights and that he changes his tactics every time he fights. DC had a great question at the end and Volk answered it really well.

Oh my god on volko's weight cut that man was 240 lbs at one point. He has the lungs, heart, and bone structure/density of a horse compared to max. That's why he never gets tired. His bodies aerobic capacity is enhanced from his time being 100 lbs heavier while playing rugby. Absolutely insane. I wonder how he'd do if he moved up a weight class or two. I feel like in his normal life before fighting, he was a much larger man. +30-40 lbs.
